About this property

The Snug is part of the iconic and historic Arlington Mill, situated in the heart of what is considered by many (including William Morris - the textile designer and leading light in the Arts and Crafts movement) to be the most beautiful village in England. Although the building oozes history, it has been completely refurbished by its current owner to provide a warm and welcoming contemporary accommodation for two guests immersed within these stunning settings. Spread out over three floors, every requirement has been considered - whether it be dining in the superbly appointed open-plan kitchen/diner on the ground floor, relaxing in the glorious first floor lounge, or enjoying a lazy Sunday lie-in in one of the second floor bedrooms. If you fancy a few carefree days, then your culinary requirements will be well catered for at either of the two pubs in the village, both just a short walk from the cottage. If you fancy a morning coffee or afternoon tea, then look no further than the trout farm, located immediately next door to the mill. Also on your doorstep is one of the most photographed scenes in The Cotswolds - Arlington Row, located less than 400 yards from your front door. Due to your rural location, you are well-placed for accessing some lovely country paths for walking and cycling opportunities, whilst the nearby rivers and lakes provide the chance for some watersports. Make sure you visit the nearby town of Cirencester for an abundance of tourist attractions including Cirencester Park, Corinium Museum and New Brewery Arts. The Snug makes a delightful base for your retreat to the Cotswolds.

Bibury is a village and civil parish resting in Gloucestershire, England, within the Cotswolds aonb. The village offers a selection of pubs/restaurants, whilst the nearby town of Cirencester provides a larger choice with independent shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials. The Cotswolds aonb has a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities, as well as nearby rivers and lakes for watersporting.
