Even closer is St Merryn, 1 mile away and Padstow which is three miles away, both have an array of shops, pubs, restaurants and bars to offer. St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the harbour and fishing port of Padstow. St Merryn offers two pubs, three restaurants, mini markets and a Post Office and there are many attractions nearby. 11 miles away is Newquay which has three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, ideal for watersports. There is also good shopping , a zoo and Sealife centres, as well as nightlife.

There is no WiFi and I couldnât get reception on my mobile phone either. The on-site WiFi only covers from reception to the bar and even that was very poor.

Not a lot of room at all. Fine as a base but if you were spending more time there it would be difficult with the lack of space. Also hard to find as numbers are not in an exact order and no sign posts. Also a lack of paths so you have to walk through the grass. We ended up with soaking wet feet after walking around for ages trying to find the chalet due to lack of paths.
