… a mile from St Kew and its excellent pub, deep in little lanes, a handsome detached cottage converted from barns which served the beautiful main farmhouse (100 yards), all believed to have medieval origins. To the front and sides, a large, mostly lawned garden (table/chairs) shaded by mature trees, with lovely long views over sheep and cattle-grazed pasture.
Inside, elegant and roomy with knobbly walls, deep-set windows and a few exposed beams. From garden, door (6’4” lintel) and 2 steps up to big open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, cooker with induction hob) with woodburner (logs included) and TV/DVD/video; ground-floor loo. Stairs (stairgate) up to three bedrooms – a double with French windows to steps down to garden, a twin, and a single; bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Chapel Amble (PO/shop, good food pub), 1 mile. A wonderfully quiet spot, a few miles from popular Port Isaac and the coast.
