...quiet was immediately appreciated as we entered the small block of modern flats. The apartment was very well laid out and beautifully clean and tastefully furnished. It was so nice to have all white cotton bedding and the beds were very comfortable. Being able to see views of Porthminster Beach from the balcony was an extra bonus. ...Holidays was sold by the owner. Bluechip Holidays contacted me straight away and said I could book another apartment or have a refund. As my husband and I were so looking forward to holidaying in St.Ives Cornwall and as it was only weeks away we decided to book another apartment. The apartment we originally booked was No. 1 Oceanis and I was contacted by Bluechip to say that No.3 Oceanis was available. I had a quick look at the layout on the internet and decided that as it was in the area where we wanted to stay and as I really didn't want to trawl through other properties I said that I would book No.3. That all went through smoothly and then about three weeks before we went on holiday, my daughter said that instead of us travelling there and back on the train which would have cost a few hundred pounds, she would drive us there and back. We decided that it would be better going down on the Thursday instead of the Friday so that necessitated in changing the booking. I phoned Bluechip, the guy who I spoke to was very helpful and within minutes he had ascertained that the apartment was free on the Thursday and he had booked it for me - just as quick as that!!. I received confirmation within the next hour and it was all sorted. The apartment was lovely, clean and modern with a tiny balcony from which there was a view of the sea. About three days before I was contacted by Nikki who gave me the key safe combination so everything went smoothly. If my apartment was typical of the all the Bluechip Holidays apartments I would definitely recommend them to my friends. The ease of contact with the Company and the helpfulness took away the pressure of any concerns I might have had. The only downside was as it was such a lovely warm week we had the windows open at night and I really hadn't known that seagulls make so many sounds but it was worth it to stay in such a bright, clean, modern apartment near the sea. The other minor niggles was that although the apartment boasted a garage it would be difficult to use at certain times because of the cars parked in close proximity. The other thing was that the bedside lamps never worked as they probably need new bulbs.It would also have been helpful if we had been left instructions of which refuse went in which bin.
