Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with many guests finding it spotless. However, a few reviews mention dust, cobwebs, and outdoor furniture cleanliness, slightly affecting the overall perception.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, offering a relaxing atmosphere and privacy. Its proximity to local attractions in Cornwall is appreciated, although some guests noted difficulty finding the lodge after dark due to limited lighting.

The lodge is considered comfortable, with a cosy setting and well-furnished interiors. Some guests mentioned issues with the bed's sturdiness and noise, as well as the heat in the bedroom, which slightly impacted the comfort level.

Facilities are modern and generally well-received, with a fully equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. However, some guests encountered maintenance issues like non-working ovens and outdoor lighting, which suggest room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience with thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and dog-friendly accommodations, there is no mention of gifts, so it is not possible to score this category.

About this property

6 Lakeview is a stunning contemporary lodge, looking over the 28 acres of Stonerush Lakes and only two miles from Lanreath in Cornwall. Perfectly suited for a romantic getaway, the green roof and natural materials used for the lodge are sympathetic to the landscape around it, and the decked terrace takes full advantage of the tranquil Cornish countryside around. A private sunken hot tub to while away the evening in and seating to dine alfresco. The large doors to the open-plan living space invite light through into the lodge, where comfortable seating sits next to a modern and fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The master bedroom hosts a gorgeous four poster bed and its own freestanding bathtub to soak any stresses away, as well as having an en-suite shower room next door. Set at the heart of Stonerush Lakes and within an easy walk of your lodge lies the Old Mill lakeside bar and restaurant offering a charming venue for a delicious meal or a relaxing drink by the wood burning stove or out on the deck overlooking Miller’s Island. The nearby village of Lanreath has a community run village shop, and there is a wealth of traditional country pubs in the vicinity to take advantage of. There are plenty of local walks right from the doorstep and, only a short trip further afield, Looe, Fowey, and Polperro are all archetypal Cornish coastal destinations, with easy access to beautiful heritage coastline and great beaches. This luxurious lodge is a brilliant spot to set out and come back to when exploring beautiful Cornwall, as well as being the perfect place to take the time to relax.

Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea.

1 or 2 nit picky things in side but nothing to shout about. Outside the same patio furniture that a few guests complained about last year, rusty and needs replacing. Post and rail around the decking also needs attention, moss growth and rotten in places, tidy up please. The site itself was great, little walks around the grounds and lakes, wildlife in abundance. Although limited food during my stay, what we ate was very good

Little things really letting down the overall luxury feel. Mirror on the desk is broken and unstable, second bedroom locked which would allow easier access to hot tub, blankets on sofa are covered with dog hair (still a year later!), frying pan is broken and tired so doesn’t cook well at all, doors to balcony are unstable and very hard to open, wood top behind the kitchen sink is deteriorating hugely, no light on the balcony so can’t use hot tub easily after sunset and is a hazard (second bedroom light could be used for this if there was access) and some of the panels on the balcony are loose or broken so not safe for children. Just small changes that really had a large impact on the relaxation and convenience of our stay. Not much cost to resolve these issues but largely beneficial. However, the views are incredible as always, bedroom and bathrooms are still of a lovely standard, robes are a nice touch and the hot tub works perfectly fine. I would love to repeat my stay on a yearly basis if these issues were resolved but based on previous reviews it doesn’t seem likely.

The lodge is potentially lovely what let it down for us compared to other ones we’ve visited was it’s finished quality in our opinion it required some serious attention the outside table and chairs needs to be placed in a skip completely rusty and unfit for purpose, the worktop around the sink is also in our opinion an health hazard it does not create an environment welcoming to prepare and enjoy food and the pre cleaning certainly needs to be improved , shower being held together by cable ties it certainly is spoiling what could be a lovely place
