About this property

In the town of Wisbech set on the site of The Secret Garden Touring Park but enjoying its own privacy and space, is Sherwood Lodge, a semi-detached modern cottage, furnished to an excellent standard and enjoying many fantastic features. Suitable for a couple, this property is where you will relax in style.

Park up in your designated parking space and head in through the front door, turn left and head into the vast open-plan living space. A huge brick fireplace housing a wood burning stove sits in the center, while the sofas in front of it create the perfect spot for winding down at the end of the day before the TV. The dining table will be host to romantic dinners between you and your loved one, or a place to bring out some healthy competition with a board game if you have little ones.

Neatly hidden behind sliding doors is the contemporary kitchen, sleek and stylish and providing you with a great range of appliances, including those all-important ones like a dishwasher and washing machine, and fridge freezer with ice and cold water dispensing. Back through the property on the other side is where you will head in the evening to catch some rest, the king-size room is spacious and bright, a tranquil environment to look forward to at the end of the day. Benefiting from a state-of-the-art wet room that has a digital shower, as well as patio door that leads out to the enclosed private garden. A hot tub sits in the corner, surrounded by fencing and shrubs so you can enjoy your time in peace away from everyone, as well as seating, so you can dine alfresco and then hop in the tub and stargaze. The Potting Shed Pub is on site and we serve breakfast & lunch Tuesdays to Sundays. Everything is well-spaced and placed, with the camping and caravans set further back into the owner's 12 acres of land. The center of Wisbech is just under two miles down the road within walking distance, so you can wander in for a day exploring the town, walk along the River Nene stopping at a café for refreshments, catch a film at the independent Luxe Cinema, stroll around Wisbech Park or take in the local history in the Wisbech & Fenland Museum.

Within driving distance of King's Lynn, Peterborough and Cambridge, and North Norfolk coast Sherwood Lodge will provide an excellent base from which to explore this lovely area.

Wisbech is a market town in the county of Cambridgeshire also bordering Norfolk. The River Nene runs through the town which is home to a bustling high street with plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants scattered about. The hot tub not being warm enough until second day and firelighters for the fire . All this should be a priority for the price charged Little things that make a big difference .

I don’t know if it was me not realising but I wasn’t aware the hosts house was actually the same building with a door in between them. I assumed it was just next to the cottage. It wasn’t a problem, just surprising. We really liked it, the shop onsite had some nice local things in too. Based on other reviews it’s helpful to note there is a king size bed, the fairy lights do work you just have to switch them on at the wall, the hot tub is stuck at 38 but it was warm enough for us in September, the sofas and bed were perfectly comfortable. There were a few dirty pots in the cupboard like people mentioned but that’s just the fault of the people who stayed previously and only took a minute to clean, it’s unfair to blame the hosts for something like that I would say.
