About this property

Wildflower Meadow Barn is a striking and unique home offering a majestic blend of old and new - original stone architecture with sleek contemporary features, set within mystical and magical gardens of enchanting variety. This delightful home with its handsome Georgian facade is made up of a main building and a series of converted timber clad barns, set down a private lane, the home offers guests total tranquility, just ten minutes from the exciting city of Bath.

The interiors at Wildflower Barn are chic, understated and simple - offering low-key luxury and quality of raw materials within generously proportioned living spaces. There is a Scandinavian feel to the living space, with abundant natural timber, polished concrete floors and an uncluttered, airy designer flair, allowing the natural daylight to pour in.

This timeless modern rustic vibes blend with hotel-grade luxury at Wildflower Meadow Barn; whether it be a cosy winter retreat curling up with a good book in the glow of the log burning fires, or a fresh and fragrant summer abode frolicking among the delightful gardens! The huge windows allow light to stream in and help to bring the wonderful great outdoors in whatever the season.

Sixteen guests can be accommodated within this sumptuous home, across six well-appointed bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms offer refined elegance and striking simplicity - along with the characteristic notes of designer verve and subtle opulence! Whether it be free-standing open plan baths, ethereal artwork or far-reaching garden views, these rooms offer restorative and tasteful abodes.

Surrounded by meadows of wild flowers, the gardens are a haven of style and quirky, yet impeccable taste: from layers of lawns for sedate picnics or games of croquet, to the indulgent bubbling hot tub for a note of glamour, these grounds are full of surprises! A designer touch has been lightly cast across the spaces - which range from herb gardens to apple tree orchards, paddocks and flowerbeds.Wildflower Barn is only ten minutes from central Bath set in a tranquil and undulating rural valley just outside the village of Batheaston. Batheaston is nestled at the foot of Solsbury Hill, at the end of the Cotswold Way. This is a walker’s paradise - there is close access to Solsbury as well as the Batheaston Commons.

The river Avon is central to Batheaston; a very popular excursion will be to take a boat from the Bathampton Mill into the city, offering beautiful views along the way. Those keen on fishing will find ample tranquil spots and afterwards a drink at The Mill will be a pleasure.

A little further on, but still easily walkable, is the Kennet and Avon canal, with its immensely popular 'George' pub, right by the water.  Visitors can also take a walk up to Brown's Folly or the 'pepperpot' on the edge of Bathford, where much of Bath's famous stone was once quarried. One of the UK's best wild swimming sites, Claverton Weir, is within cycling distance.
