Ottoman Villa holds a wonderful hillside position, just a short distance from the popular resort of Yalikavak, where a variety of helpful family-friendly amenities and beaches can be found. While guests will be in easy reaching distance of all the action, they will also enjoy a totally tranquil and private stay off the beaten track.

Unlike other more contemporary villas in the area, Ottoman Villa has a real Mediterranean, Tuscan feel throughout with the emphasis being on indoor-outdoor living, allowing those fortunate enough to enjoy a stay here to make the most of long sunny days and warm nights. The stone built villa can comfortably accommodate up to ten guests across its five beautifully appointed bedrooms, split across the main house (3 bedrooms) and two guest cottages, it would make an excellent choice for two or three families holidaying together. In the main house, the main living accommodation can be found on the ground floor and comprises of open-plan living / dining rooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. Also on this level are two of the bedrooms, both double rooms with carved four poster beds as well as a family shower room. Upstairs on the first floor is the impressive master bedroom which boasts an en-suite bathroom, dressing area and a private terrace. The remaining two bedrooms are situated in two stone built cottages in the grounds, one with a private shower room and the other boasting an open air shower, sauna and ensuite WC.

Outside, the whole family will enjoy lazy days spent in and around the beautiful private pool, reading in the garden or taking tea on the terrace with terracotta tiled roof. After action-packed days spent on the nearby beaches, spend balmy evenings enjoying delicious meals alfresco on the terrace, cooking is made easy by the purpose built outdoor kitchen and barbecue, there's even a bar. The home is set within extensive mature grounds with fabulous fruit trees, shrubs and planting, a completely private oasis.

For winter stays the main house boasts underfloor heating and log fires.

Less than an hour’s drive from Bodrum Airport, Ottoman Villa enjoys a peaceful setting close to the traditional village of Gökçebel, perfectly positioned for exploring the beautiful Bodrum Peninsula. The fashionable resort of Yalıkavak, with its sophisticated marina, waterfront restaurants, boutiques and lively atmosphere, is less than a 10-minute drive away.

The peninsula is renowned for its beautiful coastline, with the beaches and secluded coves around Yalıkavak and Gündoğan just a 5–15-minute drive from the villa. The larger sandy beaches along the southern coast can be reached in approximately 25 minutes, while the charming fishing village of Gümüşlük, around 20–25 minutes away, is particularly appealing for its sheltered waters, snorkelling opportunities and excellent seafood restaurants, where tables are often set right beside the sea. You can play Padel at ACRÈ Padel and local watersports centre offer SUP windsurfing, or if relaxing is more your thing a yoga teacher can be arranged. 

For those who enjoy exploring, the nearby Küdür Peninsula offers dramatic coastal scenery, rocky coves and spectacular views across the Aegean. The hills above Yalıkavak are also worth discovering, with their historic stone windmills providing a glimpse into the region's rural heritage.

Around 30 minutes from the villa, Bodrum town, once the ancient city of Halicarnassus, offers a fascinating combination of history, culture and contemporary Turkish life. Dominating the harbour is the magnificent Bodrum Castle, built by the Knights of St John in the 15th century and now home to the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. History enthusiasts should also visit the remains of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the ancient theatre, which enjoys sweeping views over Bodrum and its harbour. Beyond the historical attractions, Bodrum's winding streets, colourful markets, independent boutiques and bustling marina are a pleasure to explore.

For a quieter encounter with the peninsula's ancient past, the ruins of Pedasa, set among pine-covered hills north of Bodrum, offer atmospheric walking trails through the remains of an ancient Lelegian settlement. Further afield, a rewarding day trip takes visitors to ancient Heraclea at Latmus, overlooking the beautiful Lake Bafa. Here, ancient ruins, traditional villages, striking mountain scenery and peaceful lakeside surroundings provide a wonderful contrast to the lively coastal resorts.

Food lovers should also make time to discover the region's rich olive-growing heritage. A visit to an internationally award-winning local olive farm offers the opportunity to enjoy an olive oil tasting, learn about traditional and modern production methods, and savour a leisurely Turkish breakfast featuring fresh regional produce. It's a delicious way to experience the authentic flavours and agricultural traditions of the Aegean.
