Featuring its separate guest apartment, Villa Solary is a charming villa just over 2km from the beautiful coastal town of Jávea. The extra self-contained accommodation is ideal for teenagers, grandparents or anyone who wants their own space – but still enjoys easy access to the villa’s pool terrace with great sea views.

The 8m x 4m swimming pool has step access at the shallow end and a ladder at the deep end and is attractively presented with surrounding stone balustrades. The pool terrace offers sun loungers and seating areas, and a second terrace on the upper floor of the villa features a large outdoor dining area. You also have a barbecue, always irresistible when the weather is as good as it invariably is on the Costa Blanca.

A comfortable, split-level lounge and dining room is a lovely place to chill out, air-conditioned and well-furnished. There is a TV with satellite channels and DVD and a centrepiece feature fireplace. A Tosca archway takes you from the lounge to the diner, and you then come to the separate kitchen. This is a spacious room and well-equipped, with a dishwasher, eye-level oven and attractive wooden units.

A corridor from the lounge leads to three bedrooms, one of which is the master bedroom with en-suite. All of the bedrooms offer to air-condition and are tastefully styled with modern furnishings and built-in wardrobes. A family bathroom is also nearby.

On the lower level is the guest apartment, complete with kitchenette, lounge area, double bedroom and bathroom. This accommodation has direct access to the terrace.

Another plus of Villa Solary is its proximity to all the local amenities – your nearest bars and restaurants are little more than 1km away. When the time comes to hit the beach or explore the marina in Jávea, you’ll find both are just over 2km from the villa. It’s also a great base for seeing the natural wonders of the Serra de Bèrnia I Ferrer, or Mount Montgó – the unmissable peak which towers over Jávea.

On the scenic Mediterranean coast, the small town of Jávea is a friendly place which delights visitors to the Costa Blanca with its pretty marina and beautiful beaches. The sea is of great importance in Jávea, and many of its excellent restaurants make the most of their location by serving expertly prepared fish dishes featuring the best of the day’s catch.

Arenal beach is a big draw for visitors – the golden sands are fringed with palm trees and make a great place to take the family. There are play areas for the children and plenty of places to eat nearby. Restaurants around the town aren’t restricted to local specialities, but it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to try the region’s rich meat and fish favourites or gorgeous sweet pastries.

As well as international cuisine, you can try the local wine, such as Jalon – a fine accompaniment to the hearty Mediterranean desserts. The town has many attractive buildings including churches and monasteries – look out also for the ancient windmills which dot the landscape just outside the town. Jávea has an excellent array of shops to explore, and great sports facilities too. As well as many water-sports you can enjoy a round of golf at the town’s club, set amidst fragrant pine and orange trees, or at several other locations nearby.

In the shadow of the towering Montgó mountain, Jávea is easily reached for those flying into either Valencia or Alicante, with both airports a little over 100km from the town.
