Enjoying wonderful views of Mount Montgó, the spectacular Villa Earlena offers stunning panoramas and special features including a rooftop hot tub. Designed by the owner, this high-spec Costa Blanca villa sits beside its own 10m x 5m heated private pool with a mountain backdrop.

Four comfortable rattan sunbeds sit around the pool, and a shaded seating area looks out on the pool, terraces and landscaped gardens. A water-slide adds an extra element of fun to the pool experience, and up on the roof terrace, you have bar seating, a gazebo and another seating area.

Inside the villa, with direct access from the terrace dining area with barbecue, a spacious lounge entertains with a large TV, complete with DVD player and Amazon Firestick. The room is beautifully furnished, with a leather chaise sofa and fireplace, and two sets of patio doors so you can drift in and out as you please.

An elegant dining room is another highlight, with a glass dining table offering to seat for six. The equally stylish kitchen has been well thought out, with a wide range of appliances, plenty of space for taking breakfast and – as is found throughout most of the property, air-conditioning. You also have direct access to the dining terrace from this room too.

On the upper level is the chic master suite, with its en-suite bathroom and private roof terrace. This is a magnificent space, beautifully decorated and with fitted wardrobes. A grand staircase leads down to the main living areas, and from there you descend to the lower level where there is a second lounge with cinema-style seating and a second smaller kitchen with American-style fridge, adjacent to the pool and terraces.

Also on this floor are three more bedrooms – a double, a twin, and a third with bunk beds. The double has its en suite, while the other two bedrooms have the use of a large family bathroom on the middle floor.

Villa Earlena places you around 7km from the beautiful coastal town of Jávea, surely one of this highlights of the region.

On the scenic Mediterranean coast, the small town of Jávea is a friendly place which delights visitors to the Costa Blanca with its pretty marina and beautiful beaches. The sea is of great importance in Jávea, and many of its excellent restaurants make the most of their location by serving expertly prepared fish dishes featuring the best of the day’s catch.

Arenal beach is a big draw for visitors – the golden sands are fringed with palm trees and make a great place to take the family. There are play areas for the children, and plenty of places to eat nearby. Restaurants around the town aren’t restricted to local specialities, but it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to try the region’s rich meat and fish favourites or gorgeous sweet pastries.

As well as international cuisine, you can try the local wine, such as Jalon – a fine accompaniment to the hearty Mediterranean desserts. The town has many attractive buildings including churches and monasteries –  look out also for the ancient windmills which dot the landscape just outside the town. Jávea has an excellent array of shops to explore, and great sports facilities too. As well as many water-sports you can enjoy a round of golf at the town’s club, set amidst fragrant pine and orange trees, or at several other locations nearby.

In the shadow of the towering Montgó mountain, Jávea is easily reached for those flying into either Valencia or Alicante, with both airports a little over 100km from the town.
