About this property

An immense pool in your perfectly picturesque garden makes Villa Ramallosa an idyllic home-from-home for up to seven lucky guests in an exquisite rural location!

A striking beauty on the hillside, you’ll be dazzled by the effusive beauty of this villa as you approach up the grand driveway. Inside, the main lounge comprises two large sofas amid a collection of wooden and antique furniture, yet in front of a fabulously modern and huge television. A cosy fireplace in the corner ensures you can stay comfortable and a warm in the cooler months! Your immense, modern kitchen filled with fabulous facilities and all the latest mod cons creates a perfect space for preparing a meal or two and gathering the whole group – with direct access to an alfresco dining space on the veranda. A grand dining room brims with rich colours and fabrics and invites you to enjoy a delicious formal meal-time together. There is also a guest bathroom alongside the living spaces.

There are three elegant bedrooms, and each exudes total class and character. The master bedroom features a Queen-size bed at one end, with a full library and seating area to the other, with a delightfully traditional style, including a wooden bookcase, a stone fireplace and vintage furniture. There is a balcony for you to enjoy the sunshine in seconds, as well as a superb ensuite bathroom with a fabulous walk-in shower and double vanity sink. The second bedroom has a double bed while the third bedroom features two single beds in a calming, beautiful environment. There are two additional bathrooms, one with a large bathtub with a shower over, and the other has a fabulous shower.

Heading outside you can soak up the tranquillity and beauty of this exquisite location. On the terrace you have a fabulous alfresco dining area with a parasol if the sun is ever a little too much, perched overlooking the enchanting natural world which envelopes you here! Meanwhile, on the veranda you can enjoy more casual seating, alfresco dining and stunning views. Then, of course, there is your spectacular swimming pool! At twelve meters long and lined with elegant balustrades to one side and a glossy lawn to the other, there’s hardly a more glamorous spot to kick back and soak up the sunshine! There’s a pool house alongside this so that you won’t have to traipse back inside to nip to the toilet. This is also equipped with a  fabulous barbecue and dining area, so you can cook up a storm and feast in the beautiful setting!

Within a short drive of the beach and the local town, as well as near to the beautiful town of Baiona, this is a perfect location for enjoying all the best bits of the Galician countryside!

Villa Ramallosa is in the perfect location for those seeking a rural retreat near to the coast, the mountains and the thriving towns of Galicia.

The incredible beaches of Praia Ladeira and Praia América are both within just a 15 minute drive and boast magnificent extended stretches of dazzling golden sands and azure seas against the stunning backdrop of the dramatic coastal mountains! You could hardly find a more beautiful, romantic spot for a day-trip to the beach!

Just 30-minutes to the north is the largest city in Galicia, Vigo, a cultural centre with a fascinating history, boasting stunning architecture, many regular markets and the beautiful Museo Municipal de Vigo. Nearby you can enjoy the breath-taking nature reserve of Islas Cíes with dazzling white-sand beaches and azure waters! Vigo-Peinador International Airport is 15 km from the centre of Vigo with several national flights and season-dependent flights to Paris, Brussels and London.

Meanwhile, just 15 minutes further north is Pontevedra, a deeply historical and beautiful city which welcomes visitors to enjoy incredible sightseeing, a myriad of festivals throughout the year and tons of fabulous nearby beaches. With a fully pedestrianised 300,000 square meter medieval centre, you can enjoy carefree wandering in Spain’s most accessible city! Local delights include wine served in a bowl in many of the smaller pubs on the backstreets, affordable octopus and all kids of treats including ‘queixo galego’ and ‘pan galego’ (local bread and cheeses) from the regular farmers' market by the river. Within the city, the Museo Provincial de Pontevedra is considered to be one of the finest historical/archaeological museums in Spain, while the Rias Bajas (Rias Baixas) coastal region has flourishing coastlines, mountains, rivers, lakes and estuaries that ooze incredible natural beauty.

And only 25 minutes to the south you’ll reach the Portuguese border and the enchanting region of Minho, with a fascinating history and sublime natural landscape! It is a fantastic, largely rural region on the northernmost Atlantic tip of Portugal and shares many attributes with Galicia. Minho is perhaps most famous as the home of the Vinho Verde, a crisp, dry white wine (although as the name suggests, it is in fact green!) best enjoyed with a local fish dish.

With a breath-taking coastline that meets the powerful Atlantic Ocean, Galicia is a paradise for beach holidays and nature lovers, as well as the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try it for the first time, with plenty of surfing schools all along the calmer sections of the coast.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the owner of the villa. There were lots of little treats including an ample Welcome Package making the start of our stay very nice indeed. The owner was lovely and friendly andonlya phone call away if we had any problems (which we didn’t). The villa is in a fantastic location, only 10 minutes from lots of lovely sandy beaches and high on the hillside making the views spectacular. There are also many places of interest nearby, such as the hill top Celtic settlement at A Guarda and Valenca in Portugal only 25 minutes away. The pictures on the website really do not do the villa justice; we had no idea that the garden or the terraced areas would be so big! We had so many outside spaces to eat and relax we didn’t know which to choose. However, I guess my choice would be under the tree by the ample sized pool. We absolutely loved this villa and would highly recommend it.
