The magnificent Masia Pelagalls is a 16th century wonder, located in El Plans de Sio in the province of Lleida in Catalonia. Set in superb countryside, Masia Pelagalls has been completely restored into an atmospheric, supremely comfortable and luxurious retreat offering exception entertainment spaces. This astounding country house is made up of a set of rural buildings which are all linked together. It is comprised of the main farmhouse which is joined to a medieval tower, numerous storehouses and ancient corrals. The living rooms and bedrooms are spread over three levels with the majority of the bedrooms on the second floor. The old vineyard offers a fabulous garden with excellent spots for relaxation and boasting sensational views. Masia Pelagalls is eco-friendly with solar panels attached to the farmhouse to produce its own energy self-suffiently. This significant, characterful property boasts nine excellent bedrooms, all intricately decorated with warm, mellow tones and sumptuous furnishings. You will feel at home immediately while perusing the outstanding art collection and the glorious nods from the past. All 18 guests will enjoy luxurious comfort and a fabulous 16th century experience.
Throughout the exceptional Masia Pelagalls, you will discover rooms brimming with ancient stone and rich woods. Each room enjoys its own unique, authentic style. The furnishings and artwork are a wonderful blend of ancient, traditional gems and modern pieces with contemporary flair.
Just one of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor, a sensational room built into an atmospheric stone arch called La volta. It enjoys a superbly comfortable queen-size bed adorned with luxury linens and an open ensuite bathroom with contemporary fittings. It offers such a warm inviting ambience. L’Hereu is located on the first floor. It enjoys a luxurious queen-size bed with a charming, massive velvet headboard. Guests have use of the bathroom just outside of the room. The remaining bedrooms are located on the second floor. The Old Kitchen is absolutely fabulous with a lounge area within the bedroom. The room boasts a gorgeous fireplace with a funnel styled chimney as well as ancient beams. Guests use the bathroom outside of the room. Cabaler enjoys a characterful sloping ceiling and peeps of exposed stone. Luxury linens and gorgeous soft furnishings adorn the queen bed. While lazing on the beautiful chaise longue guests can admire the wonderful blend of modern art and ancient nods. Esgolfes also enjoys a queen-size bed. It is a generous room with an ensuite bathroom, a sloping ceiling and a delightful fireplace tucked in the corner. Its gorgeous sage green tones add a warm ambience and its trendy clothes rail blends beautifully with the otherwise traditional furnishings. La biga boasts comfy twin beds and a huge characterful ceiling beam. Guests have use of a bathroom outside of the room. A trendy wooden wardrobe meets with ancient nods from the past. Another twin bedroom, La petita, is a lovely cosy room with warm wooden furniture and a sloping ceiling. La publia enjoys antique twin beds which are adorned with beautiful soft furnishings. The final bedroom, La tigre offers a modern tiger painting and a room brimming with modern twists.
Guests enjoy many beautiful living spaces, again all unique and with a fascinating range of artwork and furnishings. You can spend hours walking around this beautiful farmhouse admiring the hand chosen touches. Masia Pelagalls offers a fun games area with table tennis, table football and a pool table. There is a professional cinema room with a huge screen and comfy chairs. The living spaces are plentiful with warm and rustic vibes and sumptuous furnishings. With a large group, there is plenty of scope for different interests and pastimes. This really is a superb property for multi-generational families and groups of friends. Guests can disappear off for a quiet read in an atmospheric corner or meet in large groups for cocktails and meals. The kitchen is modern with a stainless steel island and excellent appliances. It is a sociable space with a massive breakfast table. Off the main lounge you will find a sophisticated space for evening meals. Throughout, you will enjoy the ancient stone and wooden beams and exposed walls. The range of art is totally mesmerising.
Outside, this superior property boasts an excellent hexagonal swimming pool with superb countryside vistas. Next to it you will be intigued by the original mill wheel. You will find another in the jacuzzi and anothermill wheel in the garden. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining under a stone arch and relax in many stunning spots. There is a well-equipped gym for sports enthusiasts plus this is the ideal location for a fabulous countryside hike.
Masia Pelagalls is very intriguing. During your stay you will discover many historical elements including a machine gun nest from the Spanish Civil War and the underground tunnel connecting the trenches. You will find the old stores that were used to keep water, wine and cereals, the press at the entrance to the farmhouse that was used to extract the oil from olives and the square medieval tower which offers views of La Panadella, the Catalan Pyrenees, Montsec, the valleys of Andorra, the mountains of Pallars, San Ramon and the ancient castles of Los Silos, Florejacs, Mont Cortes and El Aranyo. Masia Pelagalls offers, not just a rural holiday experience, but one that will totally fascinate you and leave you with magical holiday memories. - The farmhouse has housekeepers who can access the premises.
- The fireplace will be lit by the housekeepers.
- The client is made responsible for any damages that may be caused during their stay.
- Any problem with devices or services that may occur in the property must be promptly communicated to the property. An inventory of the interiors of the farmhouse will be signed when entering and leaving the property.
- The property is not responsible for improper use of the barbecue.
- In the exterior and interior spaces: the property is not responsible for accidents.
- In case of staying with children, parents are fully responsible for their supervision and guardianship. The property declines all responsibility in this regard.
- In case of theft, the property declines all responsibility, the client being free to subscribe an insurance with third parties to cover this possibility.
- In case of fire, the property has fire extinguishers hanging on the wall in the garage area.
- The pool does not have a rescue and lifeguard service; the client assumes the responsibility of making good use of it and following the safety regulations. The property declines all responsibility of any accidents that occur.
- The kitchen is gas, the customer will be responsible for making good use and closing the gas taps on the hob. The property declines any responsibility for any accident occurred in this regard.
- The client is responsible for the garden furniture, for the custody of the proper use of it. Indoor and outdoor furniture cannot be taken on off-site excursions.
- It is forbidden to occupy the house by more people than those listed in the reservation request. Failure to comply with this clause will lead to the immediate termination of the contract and the immediate abandonment of the home.

Masia Pelagalls is located in the stunning La Segarra region in El Plans de Sio in the province of Lleida. This beautiful, natural Catalonia region offers much entertainment and superb hiking and biking. You can visit the extraordinary Castles of La Segarra. La Segarra is known as the land of castles due to the large number of fortifications. The Managers of Masia Pelagalls can give you an excellent route map so that you see the very best of them. They include Castell de Concabella, Castell de les Sitges, Castell de Florejacs, Castell de Pallargues and Castell de Montcortes.
The area is also known for its wetlands and wildlife. You will discover rabbits, birds, owls, eagles and much more. There are numerous outdoor activities such as shooting, hiking and horse riding plus there are fun activities such as pitch and putt.
You may also want to head into the Pyrenees, starting at the sunny Spanish valley of Cerdanya. La Cerdanya spans France and Spain and is home to towering mountains, stunning Medieval villages, gorgeous, breathtaking open valleys and excellent cuisine. The Spanish side is known as Baixa Cerdanya. Some of the best Alpine and Nordic ski resorts include La Molina and Masella in Cerdanya, Grandvalira and Vallnord in Andorra and Font Romeu and Les Angles in the French Pyranees. You can ski by day or enjoy a night skiing arranged by the villa team. La Molina has an adapted sports centre and has earned a reputation as being one of the most advanced winter centres for visitors with reduced mobility. Cerdanya offers fantastic hiking opportunities at all times of the year. There are themed hikes such as the ‘Cami dels Bons Homes’ or Way of the Good Men and long-distance hiking paths like the GR1 as well as tougher mountain hikes. If you do not want such a challenge then there are many short walking paths around towns such as Puigcerda and Llivia. Llivia is unique and very pretty. It offers an interesting mix of Spanish, Catalan and French culture and food with a beautiful ancient church, Medieval cobbled streets and old castle ruins set on the hill.
Guests can also visit Barcelona very easily from the villa. With its fabled architectural treasures spanning more than 2000 years, its mastery of gastronomy, famous football team, family entertainment, incredible nightlife and its enchanting seaside, it really is a city that offers it all! With famous whimsical Gaudi masterpieces such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and Parc Guell, towering temple columns, ancient city walls, subterranean stone corridors, tranquil plazas and soaring cathedrals, the city is intriguing, beautiful and best seen on foot. Barcelona has long inspired artists, including Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro, both of whom have major museums devoted to their works in the city. Football fans may head directly to visit Camp Nou or a FC Barcelona match. Youngsters may prefer the zoo, aquarium or the Poble Espanyol. Visitors enjoy a feast in Barcelona with incredible seafood, cured ham and fabulous delicacies, all served in the city’s captivating settings. It might be a 1920’s elegant art nouveau dining room, a classic Basque-styled tapas bar, a Galician seafood tavern or waterside, watching the sunset. Las Rambla enjoys a wonderful market where you can taste delicious food and wines and alfresco dining. Hidden away, there are charming small tapas bars serving local cured Iberico ham, gazpacho soup and la bomba, a potato croquette served with spicy tomato sauce and a healthy portion of aioli. Many bars serve the famous local Estrella as well as delicious sangria and cocktails. Live music is in abundance with jazz spilling out of basements and the rhythms of flamenco enthralling the crowds. The sun-drenched Barceloneta Beach is a popular spot where you can enjoy paddleboarding, sunset cruises, waterside dining and impressive sand sculptors. The promenade is a delight with alfresco wining and dining, street entertainers and families having a wonderful time. The 4.5km stretch of sandy bays along the shoreline make Barcelona the perfect city break with a side of beach. Nova Icaria Beach and Bogatell Beach offer a more peaceful feel. The Montjuic hilltop is close to the city offering endless exploring, botanic and sculpture gardens, excellent museums, fantastic art galleries, an old castle and breathtaking panoramic views.
