San Jose village, despite its small size, is popular with tourists and boasts a surprising number of restaurants, bars and shops. Local traditions and steadfast residents have succeeded in preserving San Jose’s character and reassuringly relaxed, Ibizan way of life.
Saturday mornings will see the square fill with market stalls selling local produce such as bread, pastries and fruit. You’ll also find gifts and souvenirs amongst the craft stalls loaded with ceramics, jewellery and artwork.
Most eateries are found along the main street or lanes running off it.
