Villa Badia is a modern villa with a nod to the traditional Mallorcan style. It comfortably sleeps eight across four bedrooms, and three bathrooms. There are high ceilings with exposed wooden beams throughout giving the property a more traditional air. Entering the villa from a covered terrace, you’ll find the ground floor living space is largely open plan. Here is a fully-fitted kitchen with wooden units and all the appliances you’ll need, as well as a sitting room and dining area.
Leading out from the kitchen is the dining room – with a large wooden table and chairs, as well as lovely traditional dressers, it’s a great place for everyone to eat together. Keep on going and you’ll find the sitting room with a corner sofa, woodburning stove, satellite television and DVD player. From here there are large glass doors that take you straight outside to a second covered terrace. Here there is a comfortable outside seating area with armchairs, as well as a long wooden table with bench seating.
On the ground floor too are two of the four bedrooms, and one bathroom. The master double is here, with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower. There’s also a twin bedroom and a separate bathroom.
Up on the first floor are the two remaining bedrooms – a twin and a double, and the family bathroom. From the landing, there is a door opening on to the first floor terrace – partially covered, it has seating and is a super spot from which to enjoy the view. Head up here in the evening for a glass of local Mallorcan wine, while looking out over the countryside beyond – definitely the place to really sit back and relax. From this terrace, gated metal steps can take you directly down to the gardens and swimming pool.
Outside is where this villa really shines – as well as the private swimming pool, there are landscaped gardens with mature trees, flower beds and lawns, and even a barbecue and outdoor kitchen. The barbecue area has a covered terrace – get delicious local produce from the nearby towns and serve it up here on the long wooden table, while your guests relax on the bench seating. There’s even a set of swings and a ping pong table, so if you’re travelling with children you won’t have to do much to keep them entertained.
Alcudia is the perfect holiday getaway. With holidays to Alcudia, you get one of the longest beaches in Majorca, an old town with cobbled streets, pavement cafes and Spanish restaurants. There are also historic Roman ruins on the side! There are plenty of things to do and see, with something for everyone, with Pollensa and a choice of beaches nearby.
