Known for its designer stores, Michelin-starred restaurants, and a glittering marina filled with superyachts, it also boasts a long, sandy beach. It's a good spot for a swim with its calm waters, or for a fun day out, charter a yacht and sail along the coastline. Away from the seafront, authentic Spanish department stores and local boutiques can be found.
Spend an afternoon browsing the shops or head to the bustling market, held on a Saturday, in the bullring in Nueva Andalucia. Located just a 2-minute walk from Puerto Banus, it's one of the largest markets on the Costa del Sol and boasts more than 120 stalls. Here you'll find everything from antique jewellery and local handicrafts to fresh fruit and vegetables.
Nueva Andalucia is also known as "Golf Valley", and some of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol are less than a 10-minute drive from the property. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at the famous Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, or Aloha golf courses, and after a day on the green, why not explore San Pedro de Alcantara? It's a charming town with some wonderful bars and restaurants serving delicious tapas. Although there is plenty to see and do here, the town of Marbella is also worth a visit. Just 15 minutes away by car, it's famous for its glitz and glamour, but away from the harbour, the old town is a pretty place to while away a few hours. Stroll through the narrow streets with its flower-filled window boxes and stop for a coffee in the Plaza de Los Naranjos. Here you can admire the Moorish and Baroque architecture, then visit the Museum for Contemporary Spanish Engravings and discover the works of Miro, Dali and Picasso.
