Once an old olive mill, the estate has been lovingly restored to preserve its historic soul while introducing understated elegance and modern comfort. Built in the style of the traditional pueblos blancos, its whitewashed walls are draped in bougainvillaea, while arched doorways, leafy courtyards and sun-soaked terraces create a setting that feels both romantic and serene. The atmosphere is one of total tranquillity, with peaceful pathways weaving the eight individual homes together into a private sanctuary in the heart of Andalucía.
Finca Gaucin welcomes up to thirty-four guests across eight beautifully styled, self-contained residences. Each home offers elegant, self-catering accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, and private outdoor spaces designed for soaking up the views. Interiors subtly reflect the region’s Moorish heritage, blending characterful architectural details with relaxed, contemporary furnishings.
The collection ranges from charming one-bedroom retreats, ideal for couples seeking privacy, to spacious family homes with multiple bedrooms and generous living areas. Finca Buceite sits in the heart of the village of Gaucin, overlooking the surrounding countryside and down to the Mediterranean Sea. This humble village boasts superb views and historic towns and settings, the Moorish, Visigoth and Roman influence apparent throughout the region.
In and around Gaucín there is a selection of excellent restaurants offering typical Andalusian fare. In the centre of the town, visitors can sit and drink superb wine and or feast on tapas and paellas!
Step back in time with a walk up the hill to Castillo del Águila, the Roman fort. You can also check out the preserved ruins of the Arabic fortifications. You might also see some of the many varieties of eagles for which the Castle is named. Closer to home, the Fuente de Los Seis Caños (Fountain of the Six Spouts) built in 1628, is also well worth visiting.
Sunbathe and swim at the beaches of Sabinillas or Sotogrande- only 30 minutes away. Alternatively, get carried away kite-surfing in Tarifa - only one and a half hours away!
