About this property

Located in the popular urbanisation of El Coto, this wonderful Spanish villa offers the perfect place to spend a relaxing break in the sun whilst being just a short drive from the glorious golden beaches that stretch along the Costa del Sol coastline.

Coto Paz Dos has a typical Mediterranean appearance, with a white-washed facade and terracotta tiled roofs that overhang the rear of the house to form a sheltered patio area. The terrace extends away from the house, completely surrounded by a low wall and leafy trees, offering a lovely secluded setting where guests can enjoy the long sunny days in total privacy. A large swimming pool sits in the centre, perfect for cooling off, and several sun loungers invite you to recline beneath the blue skies.

Inside, the villa is bright and spacious, with marble flooring throughout and cool white walls decorated with characterful artwork and decor. An open-plan living room offers a comfortable place to sit, with several sofas arranged around a fireplace and TV, whilst to the far side, an oval dining table has ample room for everyone. A neat kitchen can be found at the rear of the room, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals throughout your stay, or why not head outside to enjoy lunch beside the pool? A large outdoor dining table is sheltered by the roof canopy, and a brick-built barbecue is great for entertaining guests, inviting you to make the most of the warm weather and sharing animated dinners outdoors.

There are three bedrooms in total, each enjoying its own en-suite bathroom. The main bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed as well as a dressing area, and to the front of the room, a lovely set of French windows open out onto a private terrace where you can wake up and enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning sun.

Situated in the middle of El Coto, Coto Paz Dos is just a few minutes walk from the local shops and restaurants, making it easy to wander down the road to enjoy some lunch or purchase daily groceries. For those looking to enjoy the coast, a short drive brings you to Playa Fuengirola, where a long stretch of golden sand extends from the Sohail Castle down to Torreblanca in the east. Enjoy a stroll along the water's edge, or cool off with a dip in the clear blue sea. A number of water sports centres offer every kind of activity, and several chiringuitos make the ideal palace to stop off and enjoy a refreshing drink or plate of freshly grilled fish. To the far end, near the castle, the Beatriz Palace Hotel has a great beach bar where you can sit with a drink to enjoy the expansive view over the beach and sea or head into the town to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants. Running since 1960, La Langosta serves up a menu of exceptional seafood dishes, whilst, near the port, Don Pé is the perfect place to sample traditional Andalucian cuisine in the friendly, laid-back setting.

Plenty of beaches can be found dotted along the coast, and you can explore the various bays and seafront towns. On the way to Benalmadena to the north, Playa Las Viborillas is a lesser-known spot with more modest amenities, but enclosed by huge palm fronds, it offers a more secluded and peaceful setting to spend the day swimming and laying in the sun. At the end of the afternoon, you can hop across to the neighbouring bay, where the wonderful Restaurantes El Parador is the perfect place to enjoy a plate of fresh fish whilst watching the sunset.

Due to its warm climate, Andalucia is a popular spot for golfers, and there are a number of clubs where you can enjoy a round on one of the immaculately kept courses, whilst, for those looking for a game of tennis, there are several courts nearby. Whilst known for its beautiful beaches, the region also has a wonderful landscape, with the Sierra de Mijas rising up away from the coastline. Spend the day hiking along one of the well-marked trails, discovering the rocky landscape and charming rural settlements whilst enjoying incredible views back towards the sea. From Mijas Pueblo, you can access the popular Pico de Mijas route, a challenging route with a steep incline, but you will be rewarded with a panoramic vista from the top. Built between the 16th and 18th centuries, Mijas Pueblo itself is a lovely hilltop village, and you can wander the narrow streets to see the historic architecture and remains of the ancient Moorish church. Stop in the Plaza de la Libertad to enjoy a drink, or sit out on the terrace of La Alcazaba, where you can sample traditional dishes whilst enjoying the spectacular views.

This villa was everything and more we expected, near bar and restaurants and only 15 mins walk away from the main town centre. Lovely place and would definitely return!

Beautiful villa, everything you need, and I mean everything. Brilliant location a few shops and bars within 5-10 mins walk. Pool amazing and plenty of sunloungers. Great restaurant 5 mins walk with kids garden including Guinea pigs! and very tasty food. Sue was always on hand to give advice. Fuengirola town 8 euros in taxi and Mijas approx 12 euros. Will definitely be back as we had a very relaxing time. Highly recommended by us all.
