Outdoors, the eight-acre property is arranged with landscaped gardens, a 6 x 4 metre swimming pool, and peaceful corners to pause or gather. The pool includes a shallow section for children and a deeper end for confident swimmers.

A dedicated yoga platform sits higher up the hill, with mats and props available for guests or retreat groups (by request at an additional cost). The surrounding land includes walking paths, fruit trees, and a seasonal river nearby. Quinta Tavira Serena sits in a quiet hillside hamlet in the eastern Algarve, surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees, and open countryside. Though wonderfully rural, it’s just a 35-minute drive from Faro Airport and only seven minutes from Santa Catarina, a local town with a couple of minimarkets, a well-loved bakery, and simple restaurants.

The historic charm of Tavira and the fishing heritage of Olhão are both around 20 minutes away, offering access to ferries that reach the region’s barrier-island beaches. You’ll also find boat tours, kayaking, and wildlife excursions in the surrounding area, with plenty of options for day trips.

Closer to home, there are peaceful walking trails through the hills and a seasonal river for paddling or picnics. The pace here is slower, shaped by the rhythms of the land and the neighbouring farmers who tend the citrus, fig, and olive trees that grow in abundance.
