About this property

Situated in a quiet position on the edge of the Rocha Brava resort, Villa Oleander is a comfortable, traditional style four bedroomed villa. The villa’s private swimming pool is separated from the landscaped garden by a lockable gate, keeping young ones safe.

Villa Oleander is set in the stylish resort of Rocha Brava, with 55 acres of landscaped gardens and whitewashed villas. The property is in a secluded part of the resort, with views from the roof terrace that look out over the sea beyond, yet the amenities and facilities of the resort are all close by should you need them.

From communal swimming pools to tennis courts and a gym, there’s lots for you to explore and enjoy in the resort itself. Ask at reception if you’d like help with booking days out or restaurants nearby – they offer a babysitting service too, and there’s a children’s club available during high season.

The ‘O Farol’ restaurant provides buffet breakfasts and a la carte menus, with plenty of Portuguese dishes, but if you’d prefer to eat back home then Villa Oleander has a well-equipped kitchen and a portable barbecue too. With covered verandas, you can eat at the outdoor dining table and keep cool in the shade. The villa’s private pool is separate from the garden, with a lockable gate, making it easier to keep an eye on the little ones.

The main living area is light and airy, and all bedrooms have air conditioning that’s included in the price, so no matter how hot that glorious sun gets you can still stay cool and relaxed. Just a few minutes’ stroll away you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants, but when you return home in the evening make sure to climb the stairs up to the roof terrace. It’s the perfect place to gaze at the sea views and watch the sun go down.

Also available to book at this location is Villa Das Oliveiras (sleeping 6 guests).

You’ll also find a Coffee Shop & Bar at the entrance, as well as the ‘O Farol’ restaurant, which serves a buffet-style breakfast and a la carte menu.

  • The picturesque beach at Centianes is less than 1km away, while the spectacular Smuggler’s beach at Carvalho is just 1.5km away – you have to walk along a series of tunnels through the rock face to get there.

  • The bustling village of Carvoiero is a popular tourist destination. This former fishing village has an excellent selection of restaurants and bars, and with the fishermen’s cottages perched on top of the majestic cliff, it’s still just possible to get a sense of the authentic Portuguese lifestyle.

  • If you’d like to get away from the hustle and bustle, Ferragudo is a small and secluded town with pretty harbour and cobbled streets. There’s nothing better than simply wandering along the streets in the morning, comparing menus in the seafood restaurants to pick the perfect spot for lunch.

  • Most people come to the Algarve to enjoy relaxing on the golden sands, but if you start to get itchy feet then the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspenos is a fairly easy hiking trail that rewards you with some stunning views of the dramatic limestone cliffs.

  • If you’d like to play golf on one of the famous courses of the Algarve, there are plenty to choose from nearby. During the summer months, it’s best to play either early in the morning or after 4.30pm.
