Villa Alvorada sits within a gated condominium close to the Algarve villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, combining the independence of a private villa with a handful of useful resort facilities. With its own swimming pool, a particularly generous terrace and plenty of space for outdoor dining, the house is well suited to sunny days spent at an easy pace.

The interiors are contemporary and bright, centred around an open-plan living and dining room with direct access outside. A well-equipped kitchen covers all the self-catering essentials, while two double bedrooms provide comfortable accommodation for families or friends. There’s also a separate office with a sofa bed, handy for an additional guest or anyone who needs to catch up on work during their stay. Air conditioning runs throughout the house.

Outside, the 150m² terrace gives you considerably more room to spread out, with sun loungers, garden furniture, shaded seating and the private pool. Guests can also use the condominium’s communal pool and fitness centre.

Carvoeiro’s restaurants, nearby golf courses and the Algarve’s distinctive sandy coves are all within easy reach, with the Seven Hanging Valleys coastal trail close by for mornings spent exploring on foot.

Villa Alvorada puts a particularly scenic stretch of the Algarve within easy reach. Carvoeiro is a short drive away, where narrow streets lead down to a sandy bay surrounded by restaurants, cafés and terraces. Head in the opposite direction and you’ll reach Ferragudo, a former fishing village on the River Arade, known for its waterfront restaurants and relaxed main square.

Beach days come with plenty of choice. Praia Grande lies near Ferragudo, while the coastline around Carvoeiro is dotted with smaller coves and beaches backed by the Algarve’s distinctive limestone cliffs. Further east, Benagil and Praia da Marinha are well worth adding to the itinerary.

Walking is another reason to explore this part of the coast, with clifftop routes taking in sea views, rock formations and small beaches along the way. Golfers are also well catered for in the surrounding area, while evenings can be spent trying the restaurants of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, from casual Portuguese cooking and fresh seafood to more refined dining.
