Fantail Cottage Kaiuma Bay - Havelock Holiday Home

About this property

Experience a slice of history and tranquility at Fantail Cottage, nestled on a serene working farm in Havelock with stunning views across 308 acres of rolling valleys and wooded hills. This charming retreat offers the perfect escape for those seeking peace and relaxation.

Step outside onto your semi-private deck, where you can soak in garden views stretching across the farm to the bush-covered hills of Kaiuma Bay. Inside, the cozy living area, open-plan dining room, and well-equipped kitchen provide a welcoming space for shared meals and quality time.

Fantail Cottage is located next to Fantail House, which can be booked together for larger groups. The cottage features two spacious bedrooms and a modern bathroom, designed for a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring. Both the cottage and main house have fireplaces, with plenty of firewood available to keep you warm and comfortable.

Adventure awaits just beyond your doorstep. The Nydia Bay walking track is nearby, and a boat ramp in Kaiuma Bay makes it easy to head out on the water. The picturesque Havelock Marina offers boat tours and waterfront dining, while the Pelorus Sound water taxi provides access to stunning kayaking and hiking spots. The nearby Wakamarina and Pelorus rivers are known for excellent trout fishing, adding to the many outdoor activities available.

For a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, Fantail Cottage is the perfect Havelock retreat!

Dubbed the greenshell mussel capital of the world, Havelock is located in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. From here you can take a charter boat through the Mahau and Perlous Sounds (keep an eye out for dolphins along the way). All of our Havelock holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
