Settle on the portico with a glass of prosecco as your eyes drift across gently sloping lawns and surrounding nature. Built in a neoclassical style, this beautiful residence dates back to the early 19th century and sits in the heart of a historic 120-hectare park with an 18-hole golf course. Perfectly positioned for visiting Padua, Verona and Venice, it offers a romantic escape in one of northern Italy’s most culturally rich regions.
Step through the entrance hall and soak up the charm of Villetta Naos’ attractive interiors. To the left is an elegant living room with wood-beamed ceilings and a grand fireplace, a superb spot for cosy evenings listening to music with good local wine from the Euganean Hills. In a separate room, the delightful kitchen awaits with a good range of modern appliances and a characterful round dining table.
Sleeping up to four guests, there are two air-conditioned bedrooms upstairs via the old curved staircase. Beneath sloping beamed ceilings, the twin bedroom features a little desk and other pretty furnishings whilst the queen-size double has its own library of books and a private WC. Downstairs on the lower level, you will find the full-sized bathroom with a bathtub for relaxing soaks.
The portico with its beautifully restored columns brings a touch of romance to this enchanting holiday abode, an idyllic setting for al-fresco meals with glorious views over the estate – why not take your deckchairs to the field on warm sunny days. Villetta Naos enjoys a secluded setting, yet it is just a short walk through the park to the golf clubhouse and the estate’s shared summer swimming pool.
Take long walks through the expansive parkland or make the most of discounted green fees at the golf course. Discover hiking, cycling and mountain biking opportunities across the region or immerse yourself in the cultural charm of Padua and Vicenza. For a truly unforgettable day, hop on a train to Venice and experience the breathtaking beauty of one of the world’s most iconic cities.
Set within a beautiful private park dating back to the 19th century, Villetta Naos enjoys a privileged position overlooking gently sloping lawns and spring flowers. This is a secluded setting yet only a short distance from the estate’s swimming pool and golf clubhouse. This is the Veneto region of northern Italy, an ideal location for visiting many famous towns and cities including Padua, Verona and Venice.
As you walk across the estate, soak up the beauty of 120 hectares of rolling hills and meadows – this is considered to be one of the most beautifully preserved parks in the region. Guests benefit from discounted green fees at the 18-hole golf course (this can be arranged on arrival although do note Sunday are generally not available until after 3pm) and lunch at the golf clubhouse and bar. The estate also features a summer swimming pool and guests enjoy complimentary access (please see the “T&Cs” for opening dates/times and regulations). You can visit the 18th century artificial grottos (on request) and admire the park's neoclassical-style villa, once a 16th century hunting pavilion, with its two chapels. The estate, villa and grottos are open to the public on Sundays (and some Saturdays/bank holidays).
Keen walkers will also appreciate the wonderful hiking paths through the Euganean Hills Regional Park with routes starting from the estate, alongside cycling and mountain biking opportunities across the region.
In terms of days out, there is so much of northern Italy to discover. Just a short drive away, the elegant university city of Padua (22km) awaits with its rich artistic heritage, from Giotto’s frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel to the lively squares surrounding the Basilica of Saint Anthony. To the west lies Vicenza (25km), famed for its grand Palladian villas and refined Renaissance architecture, while Verona (82km), just an hour away, enchants with its Roman amphitheatre, medieval lanes and romantic Juliet balcony.
A day trip east leads to the iconic canals and Byzantine splendour of Venice (62km), where gondolas glide past historic palazzi and grand squares. The fast train from Padua to Venice Santa Lucia is less than half an hour or there is a regional service taking around 45 minutes.
