Set among olive groves and flowering gardens in the Chianti countryside, Relais Olivaire is a beautifully restored early nineteenth-century farmhouse offering privacy, space and a thoughtful blend of traditional Tuscan character and contemporary comfort. Arranged as two adjoining lodgings, the property sleeps up to ten adults across five bedrooms, making it well suited to extended families or groups of friends travelling together.
Inside, guests will find two welcoming living areas with fireplaces, two fully equipped kitchens and carefully chosen furnishings that complement the farmhouse’s stone walls, timber details and terracotta floors. Air conditioning runs throughout, while streaming-enabled televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi and quality audio systems add modern convenience.
Each lodging opens onto its own terracotta patio, furnished for outdoor dining and relaxed evenings with a barbecue. Around 20 metres away, the private salt-chlorinated swimming pool is framed by loungers, parasols and views across the surrounding valley. Beyond the pool, guests are free to explore the estate’s gardens, meadows and centuries-old olive groves, or simply settle into the unhurried pace of rural Tuscany. Florence, Siena and many of Chianti’s historic towns and wineries are all within easy reach by car.
Relais Olivaire lies in the rolling countryside of Chianti Fiorentino, around 30 km from Florence and within easy reach of many of Tuscany’s best-known towns and villages. The setting feels peaceful and rural, with olive groves, meadows and wooded hills surrounding the estate, yet everyday amenities are close at hand.
The small hamlet of Romita is around an eight-minute walk away across the olive grove, where guests will find a general store serving coffee, drinks, groceries and sandwiches. A well-regarded local restaurant is a further five minutes on foot. Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is approximately 4 km away and offers supermarkets, shops, a pharmacy, gelaterias and local food stores.
Florence can be reached in around 30 to 40 minutes by car, while Siena is typically 45 to 55 minutes away. San Gimignano, Certaldo Alto, Greve, Castellina in Chianti and Monteriggioni are also well placed for day trips. The surrounding area is ideal for wine tasting, cycling, walking and discovering traditional Tuscan restaurants, vineyards and historic hill towns.
