Just below the villa, the coastline is dramatic and rocky, ideal for coastal walks and sunset views. A short walk leads to a small cove accessed by a staircase carved into the rock, offering a more intimate swimming spot with clear waters and a sense of seclusion. Sandy beaches can be found a short drive away, including Contrada Gallina, where long stretches of sand are backed by dunes and shallow waters.
The nearby town of Avola provides everyday amenities such as supermarkets, cafés and local bakeries, as well as a lively atmosphere in the evenings. Avola is also known for its almonds and Nero d’Avola wine, both deeply rooted in the region’s agricultural heritage.
Further along the coast, Noto stands as one of Sicily’s most celebrated Baroque towns. Its honey coloured streets, grand churches and open piazzas offer a striking contrast to the raw beauty of the shoreline. Siracusa, with its ancient Greek theatre and the historic island of Ortigia, adds another layer of history, blending classical ruins with vibrant street life and waterfront dining.
The surrounding countryside is shaped by citrus groves, vineyards and olive trees, while coastal roads offer scenic drives punctuated by viewpoints and small fishing villages.
