Casa Bergamotto enjoys a beautiful setting on the edge of Positano, part of a gated complex with four other residences set across a cliffside with the most incredible sea views. You access the grounds on foot from the coastal road above, then follow the steep paths and steps down to your casa. All guests at the complex enjoy private access to a little sandy bay, reached via rugged steps, an idyllic spot with sand and crystal-clear water (and a beach bar in the height of the summer). This is such a privileged location and so close to the heart of Positano.
Step outside the complex and within moments you can be wandering Positano’s steep postcard-perfect lanes, with their pastel houses, boutique shops and cascading bougainvillaea. Make your way down to Spiaggia di Positano (750m), the town’s main beach, where colourful umbrellas line the shore in the height of the summer and chic beach clubs offer cocktails with a view. For a more secluded setting, Fornillo Beach (1.2km) is just a short distance west, offering a laid-back vibe and usually fewer crowds.
From the harbour at Positano, boat trips offer a thrilling way to experience the Amalfi Coast. Cruise along the dramatic coastline, visit hidden coves and sea caves, or sail across to the island of Capri for a day of glamour and exploration. Back on land, hiking enthusiasts will love the nearby Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods), a breathtaking trail that winds high above the coast, offering panoramic views and unforgettable scenery.
Casa Bergamotto also makes a wonderful base for exploring the jewels of the Amalfi Coast.
