About this property

Experience the very best of the Amalfi coast in this wonderfully positioned 4-bedroom countryside villa close to Sorrento and Positano with glorious sea views out to Li Galli Islands.

Li Galli View is a beautifully renovated home which has been recently refurbished with both contemporary style and charm. Air-conditioned throughout, guests will experience great comfort across its four en suite bedrooms which can all be found off a lovely living room and TV lounge on the ground floor. Vibrant paintings and bright furnishings add great character beneath the traditionally vaulted ceiling, so typical of southern Italy, whilst doors lead out to the picturesque grounds.

Upstairs, the delightful kitchen-diner features delicate tiles inspired by old Positano designs whilst the open-plan living area is modern in style with original prints adorning the wall alongside exquisitely hand-painted closets. Step through the pretty doors to the vast upper terrace, just perfect for al-fresco wining and dining as you gaze out to the sea, sky and mountains.

Relax in the garden with its ancient olive trees, trailing bougainvillea and aromas of summer flowers and admire the vistas whether you are enjoying a coffee on the rustic terrace with its sofas and loungers or up by the swimming pool, panoramically set just behind the villa.

Part of a large estate, Li Galli View can also be booked, on request, in conjunction with 3-bedroom Casa Lapillo, found just behind Li Galli View’s swimming pool and sharing the same drive-way. Alternatively, each villa can be booked separately by different guests.

Whilst it is wonderful to have such spacious gardens and mesmerising views around you, guests can reach the sights of the Amalfi coast with easy access to the road that connects Sorrento to Positano and beyond. You can also wander out to a handy grocery store, a simple trattoria as well as a hotel featuring tennis courts. There are some superb walks on your doorstep, being so near Monte Vico Alvano, whilst keen hikers can trek down to the rocky platforms to swim in the crystal-clear sea within a short drive.

When not sampling hand-crafted limoncello on an idyllic terrace in Sorrento or soaking up the romance of Positano, then be whisked away to the island of Capri or head out on a sea-kayak excursion from Praiano. Continuing along the coastal road, Amalfi and Ravello are around an hour by car or head north to the magnificent site of Pompeii, 25km away, and the mighty Mount Vesuvius just a little further.

In a prime position in the countryside, between Sorrento and Positano, Li Galli View enjoys the best of both worlds being so close to all that this part of the Amalfi coast has to offer.

Despite the rural setting, it’s just a short stroll to a small grocery store and there is also a simple family restaurant within walking distance as well as tennis courts at a local hotel about 500m away. Further restaurants, shops and a supermarket can be found around 3km away in the outskirts of Sorrento - Piano di Sorrento.

Drive out of your electric gate and within 200m you are on the main road that connects Sorrento to Positano and the rest of the Amalfi coast. You can reach the heart of historic Sorrento in around 15 to 20 minutes. It is such a beautiful town, loved by visitors from across the world due to its historic charm and mesmerising vistas. Admire old churches, pretty squares, lovely restaurants and steep lanes filled with delightful shops. Boat trips depart Sorrento for tours along the Amalfi coast, day trips to Positano (if you don’t want to drive) and to the wonderful island of Capri.

In the other direction, you can be soaking up the romance of Positano in about 25 minutes by car. It is such a special place with its incredible scenery and gorgeous little beaches. It can get busy in the height of the summer so arrive as early as you can, especially when travelling by car.

A little further along the coast is the enchanting village of Praiano, less visited than Positano but still with so much charm, or continue onwards towards Fiordo di Furore and Conca dei Marini, two further highlights of this part of the coastline.

If you love walking then there are hikes in the immediate area around Monte Vico Alvano or find beautiful trails close to Sorrento with lemon fields, olive groves and old mule tracks. One of the Amalfi coast’s most famous mountain paths with spectacular views is between Agerola and Positano, Il Sentiero Degli Dei (The Path of Gods).

Keen historians can also spend the day at Pompeii or Herculaneum, perhaps combined with a visit to mighty Mount Vesuvius. If you are wanting to experience the buzz of Naples then think about taking one of the summer ferries from Sorrento, a glorious way to arrive in the vibrant city.
