Best known for its iconic trulli (traditional stone dwellings with conical roofs), Alberobello offers a magical step back in time. It’s a short drive or cycle ride away or you can walk in around half an hour (do note the first half is along country lanes with no pavement until you reach the village outskirts).
In Alberobello’s historic centre, discover narrow lanes lined with whitewashed trulli, little shops and charming cafés. Visit the Trullo Sovrano museum or explore the Rione Monti district, where hundreds of trulli cluster along the hillside.
