About this property

Escape to the countryside at this authentic, yet modern, home away from home. Spend your mornings with a fresh pot of tea or coffee, soaking up the morning rays and appreciating the fresh air. Where to today? Thankfully this villa’s central location means Italy's most southern tip is completely at your disposal. Of course, you could also spend the day poolside topping up your tan and devouring a good book.

This villa is the perfect place to seek respite from the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life, slow down and embrace the Italian lifestyle. Collect local treats from the market and prepare a feast on the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you need - including a dishwasher.

The kitchen is in the open plan living and dining area, which brings everyone together. Relax on the comfortable couch for film night, or in the separate living room with a good book for a little solitude.

This house is incredibly spacious and offers five bedrooms, all of which are air-conditioned - so getting your beauty sleep will be a breeze. There are four double bedrooms, three are downstairs and one is upstairs accessible by a ladder - it’s the ideal spot for a teenager or couple who want a little extra privacy. Kids are also set, with a bedroom that has bunk beds - so much fun and so much space for them to play uninterrupted. There are three modern bathrooms to share, so arguments over them should be kept to a minimum.

The outdoor area is truly blissful, with sweeping views over the lush landscape. Take your pick of the sun loungers, and cool off in the private pool. Meals can also be enjoyed outside on the dining table, which sits on the courtyard between the home and the pool. One of the most special parts of this home is the outdoor lighting that keeps all areas well lit so you can take a late night dip or enjoy a glass of wine and a book while stargazing.

This villa sits in the countryside, just a short 5-minute drive from Alberobello (5.5km), a UNESCO World Heritage town. Here you will find picturesque hillsides covered in traditional Trulli, as well as plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops. The villa is in a prime location for exploring the region, Fasano (15km) and Bari (63km) are within an hours drive, and the closest beach is at Monopoli, which is a 25-minute drive away (20km). This villa is located in the countryside near the small UNESCO World Heritage town of Alberobello. With its unique Trullo homes, this place feels like a village for gnomes - it’s as picturesque as it is famous. A Trullo is a small dwelling made from local limestone, but what makes it truly unique is the conical roof. Rione Monti is a must see, this part of Alberobello is the tourist hub, with narrow sloping lanes that show off all the Trulli, as well as plenty of shops and kitsch souvenirs. Of course, there are also plenty of authentic restaurants and bars to enjoy, as well as a few essentials such as a food market.

The villa is also just a short drive from Fasano (15km), one of the most populated towns in the area. It’s a charming spot, surrounded by countryside and ancient olive groves - don’t forget to pick up some olive oil, you won’t regret it. There’s plenty of adorable streets to explore, and the historic town centre is dotted with tiny chapels, gelato shops, and authentic pizzerias.

Monopoli is a lovely beach town on the Adriatic Sea and it’s just a short trip from the villa (20km). It boasts stunning Baroque buildings, the most well-known is the Monopoli Cathedral with a tall bell tower. The best beaches in the area include; Cala Porta Vecchia, Lido Santo Stefano, and Porto Ghiacciolo. So grab your swimwear and head to the beach, while topping up on your history knowledge.

If you fancy visiting somewhere a little more populated, head to Bari the capital city of the Apulia region (63km). This port city offers a wealth of history, from the 11th-century Basilica San Nicola, which is a key pilgrimage site, to the Murat quarter that has 19th-century architecture. It’s a cultural and culinary hub, so don’t visit here without stopping at all the top spots: Castello Normanno-Svevo, Bari Cathedral, Teatro Petruzzelli, and definitely don’t leave without eating all the local delicacies. The Villa
