We love the location of this charming property which is within a couple of minutes’ walk to the centre of the lovely fishing town of Peel, with its castle, beach and selection of lovely shops and pubs..

Teazles is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, a couple of minutes’ walks from the centre of Peel. You enter the property via a small sunroom, which is ideal for kicking off shoes and coats, then the front door leads into a hallway, the living room is off to the left, a good sized space with ample comfy seating for a night’s TV viewing. To the right is the first bedroom with a single bed. Moving through the property you’ll come to the modern kitchen/dining room with ample amenities to prepare anything from a picnic up to a Sunday roast for the family or friends. The back door leads to a conservatory and rear garden. The ground floor also has a family bathroom with a deep bath and shower above and there is the second bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room. Moving upstairs there are a further two bedrooms, a twin and single room and the third bathroom with shower cubicle.
Peel sits on the west coast of the island, it is the only city on the Isle of Man, with the island’s cathedral. Popular with the Manx people as a holiday spot due to its Castle ruins and gently sloping, sandy beaches, Fishing has a long history in Peel as it once was the island’s main fishing port. To this day the harbour can be seen filled with boats of the fishing trade. It is here that Herring is cured to make the famous Manx kippers. Teazles is an ideal base to explore the Isle of Man, with its rich history and heritage. You can experience everything from TT races to steam trains, horse drawn trams, trips to watch basking sharks, shooting to spa days, or simply walking or cycling in some spectacular scenery, regardless of the weather you’ll always find something to do on this unique island. This is a lovely home within easy walking distance to some great restaurants (Royal India, The Boatyard). The house is very well equipped and stocked with things like dishwasher tablets etc. We really enjoyed our time on the Isle of Man, there is plenty to do. We didn't give the full 5 stars because the wi-fi was very slow and lacked the bandwidth we needed. One of us needed to work and was unable to join a meeting but even apart from that we had trouble with day to day usage. However, overall we had a lovely stay and enjoyed our time at Teazles.

Teazles was a great location for exploring the island. The welcome pack left in the kitchen was great as we didn’t arrive until mid evening and the roses from the house garden was a lovely action. The house provided very good accommodation for four adults. The information left by the owner about the house, local sights/attractions and restaurants was extremely useful. We would recommend Teazles for holiday accommodation.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Teasels in early April this year (2026). The location was brilliant for activities with our 6 and 10 year old, and our accompanying grandad, with Peel having loads to offer for all age groups in all weathers. The house was really comfy, really warm, had loads of space for the six of us and for family to visit for a cups of tea. The showers were absolutely amazing and the kids enjoyed a good bath with the water being great pressure a nice and hot. The downstairs ensuite was perfect for my visually impaired father, and the downstairs was really safe and easy to navigate. We are all desperate to visit again and stay at Teasels as it was a superb little base for our exploration of the island. Thank you to the hosts, who were attentive, left great supplies at the beginning after our late arrival from the ferry, and had thought of everything with loads of toys for the kids to play with and ample resources in the kitchen. Thank you so much!
