This cosy detached cottage sits just outside the popular seaside resort of Portsalon on Donegal’s Lough Swilly, and is the perfect location for enjoying a traditional Irish holiday, surrounded by some of the country’s most breathtaking coastal scenery. The cottage has been lovingly furnished and decorated to offer guests a comfortable and homely holiday. Step through the front door to find the open plan living area, the heart of the home with a fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area, all complemented by a multi-fuel stove, echoing the property’s original layout. Three bedrooms provide a good night’s rest after a day spent on the beach, and on warm afternoons, why not enjoy a refreshing drink and a spot of lunch on the picnic bench to the front? Nestled under the Knockalla Mountains and parallel to the stunning Ballymastocker Bay, the coastal village of Portsalon is famed worldwide for its state-of-the-art golf course.

Portsalon’s Blue Flag beach provides safe swimming and has been awarded status as the second most beautiful beach in the world, with its golden stretch of sand and crystal clear waters attracting visitors from far and wide. Hop in the car and take a roller coaster drive towards Rathmullan, which encompasses rugged sea cliffs on the way, while just a few miles north is the lighthouse at Fanad Head.
