Magnificent for those who enjoy walking or are eager to follow the Wild Atlantic Way, the cottage at Dundooan Lower, 3 miles from Downings, is just 500 metres from a pebble beach and well placed for trips to sandy coves.
Enter to find accommodation that has been designed to feature a number of picture windows that frame the impressive views. Much of the ground floor encompasses a superb, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can gather after your adventures to relax, chat and prepare hearty feasts for your party with the delicious Irish produce you have sourced. Gaze out at your surroundings through the great swathes of glass and open the French doors in the sunroom in the summer months. Climb the stairs up to a galleried lounge on the first floor, where you can light the open fire then play games, watch TV or take in the scenic views. A utility room and two king-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room, are also downstairs. A family bedroom, with a double bed and zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twin or a king-size, by prior discussion, is on the first floor. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. Spill out into the garden on sunny days. Grill supper on the BBQ and open a bottle of wine as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean.
