About this property

This beautifully presented holiday home is perched on the waters edge, overlooking Donegal Bay at Bundoran Co Donegal. With gardens running to the shoreline, its address at Crest of the Wave tells its own story. Boasting spacious interiors with three bedrooms, a bright airy kitchen-cum-dining room with all amenities and a comfortable sitting room, this south Donegal haven will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Drop the luggage, kick off the shoes, run to the shoreline and feel the wild Atlantic breeze on your face. Outside the bungalow, the terrain is truly of south west Donegal, golden beaches, sea breezes, mountain views, unspoilt lakes and rivers. The town of Bundoran is a short distance away and boasts all the amenities needed for a bustling seaside resort, surfing, fishing, coastal clifftop walks, golf, restaurants, sandy beaches and much more. Travel a short distance south to beaches at Mullaghmore, Streedagh, and Strandhill and Rosses Point in neighbouring Co Sligo. Spend a day in Sligo town, home to the famous poet W B Yeats and brimming with attractions such as seaweed baths, galleries, boat trips on Lough Gill, shops and restaurants and much more. Visit south west Donegal travelling through the coastal towns and villages of Killybegs, Carrick and Glencolumcille and marvel at the majestic sea cliffs of Slieve League. Travel to the county town of Donegal, a bustling tourist location and on to the town of Ardara, famous for its traditional knitwear and other handcrafts. Return to Seaview in the evenings, feeling refreshed and plan the next days endeavours. You won't wish this adventure to end.

Bundoran is situated in County Donegal and is one of Ireland’s most popular resorts. A fun day out can be spent at the Bundoran Adventure Park, or on rainy days at Waterworld. Cliff-top walks around the town are a must, plus the area is great for golfers, with many courses in the area, including one in Bundoran itself. Close by is Ballyshannon, the oldest town in Ireland, boasting a folk festival every year and offering shops selling local products, pubs, restaurants, a leisure centre and a beach. Rosses Point is a short drive away, plus Benbulben, part of the Dartry Mountains, and the whole of Donegal are within driving distance. An area in which you are bound to visit time and time again.

From end of lawn (it is a footpath) you can walk onto rocks at low tide. The sitting room is cosy on an evening with a small tv with just a few channels and DVD player. We had amazing weather so able to use garden chairs and could watch sunsets. Bedrooms tastefully furnished and looked like bedding and flooring were new. Bathrooms showing signs of wear but everything worked fine. Patio doors would not seem to open, but able to use back door. Kitchen very well equipped with good dishwasher. Washing machine was old but worked, Although there is no internet, the phone signal was reasonable. Lidl and SuperValu supermarkets only a 5 minute drive away in Bundoran. We particularly enjoyed visiting Mullaghmore head/beach and Slieve League cliffs. So for us, the location, convenience, cleanliness and overall comfort of the property ticked all the boxes. Would happily recommend and return.

The cottage is light and peaceful, the facilities and equipment was well thought out and extensive. We had the feeling, that it could be our own flat resp. the owner lives there sometimes. Definitely we would like to come back!
