Staying in the depths of winter isn't the ideal time to appreciate the beautiful surroundings but the loft was comfortable and generally easy to stay warm. I slept so soundly there. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. The oven/cooker is old but functional and the kitchen had everything else I needed. As I read on previous posts, the loft was a bit cobwebby and there is a gap into the attic just above the bed which is a little disconcerting and also provided a little bit of a draught. That is my only negative feedback though and I very much enjoyed my stay at Mrs Delaney's loft.

We both fell in love with the cottage as soon as we saw it . Both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will return sometime soon. The cottage was all we could ask for and with the horse outside the window who as soon as you looked out stood and looked at you . The outlook is really good with all the traditional stables. Walked to the lake and the horses and foals came to meet us. Loads of ducks on lake with a couple of herons . Plenty of things to do and places to go in the area. Lots of places to eat out. The only downside was the weather ( it was even worse back home) but you cannot have everything can you . Thanks to Bridget for being a perfect host .

Fantastic friendly and helpful hosts. A lovely quirky property with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. So peaceful we slept great. Definitely will go back again when we can.
