This superb apartment is set on the ground floor of the owner’s home, in a rural location, four miles from the coastal village of Castletownshend, near Skibbereen in County Cork. This holiday apartment is an ideal base for families and friends in order to explore this part of the Emerald Isle. Inside this wonderful self-catering apartment are four bedrooms, all with the convenience of en-suite facilities, three of these rooms have double beds, with the other a twin. The main hub of the apartment is the open plan living area. Here you can relax in the morning whilst planning what to see and do during the day, and unwind in the evening with the electric fire going and a hearty meal cooking in the evening. On a sunny evening open the patio doors and venture out onto the patio, where you can enjoy food cooked on the barbecue, whilst sipping a refreshing drink. The village of Castletownshend, just four miles away has a 17th century castle, quayside, harbour and a church, whilst the market town of Skibbereen has plenty to keep anyone entertained, including colourful shops, pubs, restaurants, a farmers’ market, an arts and heritage centre and an indoor sports centre. This location is well known for its sailing and diving including wreck diving and sea safaris from Baltimore. For walkers the popular three head challenge is available. Also in the area are Rosscarbery, Ballydehob, Baltimore, Glandore, Schull and Bantry, and further afield is Kinsale. A delightful holiday home, close to many places of interest.

Castletownshend is a coastal village near Skibbereen in County Cork. The village is built up around the 17th century castle, with the quayside and harbour also attractive focal points of the village. There is an Egon Ronay restaurant, Mary Anne’s, and a church with beautiful stained glass.
