The village of Schull is located in the South West of County Cork, between Ballydehob and Goleen. It offers a number of shops, Irish pubs, and fine restaurants. There is a harbour which is home to a number of boat operators offering fishing trips, wildlife excursions and sightseeing voyages, as well as a sailing club and ferries to nearby islands. There are fine beaches to be enjoyed, such as Barleycove with its golden sands and turquoise waters, and the visitor centre and cliff walks of the Mizen Head, at the very tip of the peninsula are well worth a visit.

The house is spacious and comfortable and located in a beautiful and quiet setting with an incredible view of Roaringwater Bay and the Carbery Isles. Derreenatra Pier is about a 15-20 minute walk away and we were also able to walk to both Schull and Ballydehob using the old Butter Path. Michael and Sheila were lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful, and we certainly look forward to staying there again.
