Dolmen Cottage is praised for its peaceful and idyllic location, making it a perfect base for exploring the Burren. Guests appreciate the well-equipped and comfortable accommodation, with special mentions of the property's suitability for families and pets. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, these were not consistent across reviews. The lack of Wi-Fi and mobile signal is seen as an opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings, although some guests missed these modern conveniences.
Cleanliness scores are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean and tidy, while others reported issues with dirt, flies, and mould. The negative experiences seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, making it an ideal spot for exploring County Clare and the Burren area.
Most guests found the cottage comfortable, with ample space and good facilities. However, some suggested improvements in furniture comfort and provided minor criticisms regarding the ease of use of some amenities.
Facilities are generally well-received, with guests appreciating the well-stocked kitchen and amenities like washer and dryer. However, there were some reports of maintenance issues such as a non-working dishwasher and worn appliances.
