Nearby guests can enjoy long walks at Granstown Woods and Lake, Rathdowney Golf Course, the popular city of Kilkenny, just a 35 minute drive away, and within an hour’s drive is the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle. Day trips include the beaches of the East coast, Lough Derg, or even the capital city of Dublin home to the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and Temple Bar. The village of Ballacolla is situated between the towns of Abbeyleix and Roscrea in County Laois. The village has a shop and pub and is surrounded by rolling green countryside.
