About this property

This three-bedroom detached cottage lies on a beautiful complex in the village of Fethard-on-Sea, a peaceful yet varied location with assorted attractions and notable places of interest. The open-plan set-up oozes nothing less than character, with its cream coloured sofas and open fire sitting amongst quirky accessories. The lounge is backed by a modern kitchen area, whilst a charming dining table is situated in the corner of the room, perfect for an evening meal. The vibrant features are perfect to uplift your mornings, and after a long day, this is a lovely base to calm your thoughts. The first floor is home to two bedrooms; the twin is charmingly styled, dressed in pinstripe bedding with lovely finishing touches. Close by, the double bedroom boasts an almost seaside theme with blues and whites to promote a peaceful night's sleep, while bringing a sense of the outside in. The ground floor double is also softly furnished and features an en-suite shower room. A traditional bathroom completes the interior. Outside, you can relax on the decked platforms, situated to the front and rear of the cottage, a perfect spot to enjoy the location at its finest. You can even access the beach from the estate and make the most of the sunshine, or keep the children entertained, by joining them on the tennis court, soccer pitch, or playground. There are many interesting historical sites to visit, such as Tintern Abbey with its walled garden, guided tour, and forest walk and medieval abbeys in Dunbrody and Graiguenamanagh, plus the star shaped Elizabethan Fort at Duncannon houses a military and maritime museum. Travel over to Waterford in the west or Wexford in the east to take in all they have to offer. A getaway not to be missed.

Fethard-on-Sea is a village to the east of the Hook Peninsula, in County Wexford. A quiet fishing and holiday village, Fethard makes a great base to enjoy the harbour, sandy beaches, shops and pubs. The Hook Peninsula attracts visitors to its beaches and activities including walking, golf and horse riding. Head up to New Ross and visit the JFK Arboretum or the Dunbrody Famine Ship, or travel over to Waterford in the west or Wexford in the east to take in all they have to offer.

There was no WiFi which was quite a problem for us . The house wasn't in Fethard on sea. However the surrounding area is very interesting and lovely. Very helpful caretaker. TValso didn't work as advertised. We still enjoyed our week but would not stay there again.

It's our 4th year in a row. It is such a homely and comfortable house. We will definitely be booking again for next year. Thanks Orla

The cottage needs attention. It’s way to cluttered, has things every single corner, guests don’t have any space. And I asked in particular to please de-clutter as I read reviews and have bad allergies conditions. I don’t think clutter decoration is cozy In a house you rent, it’s just disturbing messy and makes the stay unpleasant. The beds, as per review, are a joke. The double bed had springs coming out. It’s disrespectful to expect people will sleep in that bed. I complained and the mattress for the double bed was changed on the day 5 of my stay. I could proper sleep for 2 nights. My mother in law was planning to go and I told her to don’t go, she could not sleep in the spare bedroom as the bed wasn’t appropriate. Even my 2 kids complained! All appliances MUST be replaced. Kettle very old, toaster, washing machine is a total joke, all. The night wash is impossible as the washing machine seems to be taking off. The dryer doesn’t work the timer, door breaking. Didn’t have any matching plates, has tons of everything but nothing matching. Need an urgent renovation and a skip for ultimate cleaning/de-clutter. Will definitely return to the village next year, but not to number 11. Unfortunately I do not recommend this property.
