About this property

Connemara Country House holds a wonderful location set in an area known for its breath-taking landscapes on the outskirts of the wonderful Connemara National Park. While the closest amenities can be found just a ten-minute walk away in the small village of Letterfrack, guests will feel a million miles from any hustle and bustle, instead enjoying complete and total tranquillity.

The historic hunting lodge dates back to 1849, it has since been lovingly and sympathetically  updated while retaining all of its original charm and character. Connemara Country House can comfortably sleep up to ten guests across five well-appointed bedrooms, four of which have access to en-suite bathrooms while guests staying in the remaining room have sole use of a separate wet room. On the ground floor is the main entertaining area with formal drawing room, cosy living room with comfy corner sofa and a fully equipped kitchen with dining facilities and all the tools a budding chef could possibly need to cook up a storm! Also on this level, are the first of the bedrooms, a king-size double room with en-suite shower room and a twin room with access to a separate wet room. Upstairs on the first floor are the remaining bedrooms, two luxurious king-size rooms and a twin-bedded room, each of which comes complete with its very own en-suite shower or bathroom.

Outside, there are large gardens for guests to explore while the children will enjoy playing games on the lawn. Spend the perfect evening on the terrace enjoying a sundowner after a busy day exploring this truly beautiful part of Ireland!

Connemara is situated in County Galway on the west coast of Ireland, many say that those who visit Connemara "experience the real beauty of Ireland". With it's beautiful scenery, dramatic landscapes and characterful villages, there is plenty in the region for visitors to see, do and explore.

Connemara Country House holds a fantastic location on the edge of the beautiful Connemara National Park, where there are 2,000 hectares of mountains, forests, heaths and grasslands giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy great walks and breathtaking views. Diamond Hill makes the ultimate spot from which to enjoy unrivalled views across the park, making the two-hour hike worthwhile!

I just spent a lovely week at Connemara Country House. This is a fabulous house in a beautiful location and within easy reach of some of the most amazing scenery, places of interest, good restaurants , pubs, shops and spectacular golf courses. The bedrooms and reception rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. The kitchen facilities are perfect for catering for a large group. The house come with many extras like books, games etc., . Although we never needed to make contact it was assuring to have a local number should we need anything. I would highly recommend Connemara Country House and is perfect for a family or group to enjoy.

The house is beautifully presented and the welcoming touches (first morning breakfast supplied) are lovely. The house is extremely comfortable, gardens fantastic. Cannot recommend enough for a stay in Connemara.

Has everything you need and more. Owners and caretakers on hand at all times for any problems. Loads of nice touches and a well stocked fridge for breakfast. Had a great week using Diamond Lodge as our base exploring Connemara. Great local pubs esp. Paddy Coynes in Tully Cross, Amazing beaches, national Parks etc etc etc. Cant recommend the house and area highly enough.
