Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland's loveliest riverside town, is the county town of Leitrim, and is nestled on the most scenic stretch of the River Shannon. Internationally regarded as an angler's paradise, Carrick has hosted many national and international fishing competitions, and within a 6 mile radius, there are no less than 41 fishing lakes to enjoy.
The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.
