The spacious holiday home is set on the grounds of the owner’s house and is decorated in neutral tones with beautiful, exposed woodwork and elegant furniture. The ground floor has an open-plan layout with a bright and airy lounge/diner arranged around a gorgeous, sweeping staircase. Spend time here, snuggled up in front of the cosy wood burner, or sharing home-cooked meals at the dining table by the window. A separate kitchen has everything needed to cater for the group. Completing the ground floor is an attractive twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find a reading nook on the mezzanine landing, along with two inviting double bedrooms (one of which has an en-suite shower room). One of the bedrooms leads to a fabulous balcony with outdoor furniture and far-reaching views. Back at ground level, the garden also has furniture for al fresco dining.

Take a stroll around the cute, seaside village of Spiddal. Browse its arts and crafts shops, before popping into one of the delightful cafes or restaurants for lunch. The village has a strong, Irish-speaking community and is renowned for its traditional live music in its many friendly village pubs. The village boasts two south-facing, sandy beaches and you can enjoy spectacular coastal walks along the Wild Atlantic Way. The colourful city of Galway (20 miles) makes a great day trip, with its bustling markets, quirky bars and restaurants, and a busy calendar of events and festivals.
