About this property

Villa Ritsos is a contemporary villa located in a complex of three architecturally recognised properties located in the Gennadi area of southern Rhodes. Situated a short distance from the shoreline, each villa features a private swimming pool and offers a tranquil setting with modern comforts. Villa Ritsos’s proximity to the village centre is another plus point – restaurants, bakeries, cafés and beach bars are easy to find, along with useful amenities like a supermarket and pharmacy.

Villa accommodates up to seven guests and features a modern interior with design elements inspired by Greek aesthetics. The villa includes three fully air-conditioned bedrooms, each equipped with a screen TV. The three bedrooms feature a double bed, and there is a single sofa bed located in the living room. Two of the rooms include ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, in addition to a shared bathroom with a shower.

The villa provides a fully equipped kitchen suitable for everyday cooking and the exploration of local ingredients. There is a designated dining space and a living room with satellite TV and direct access to the outdoor area. The living space opens out to views of the swimming pool and the sea.

Guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property. The exterior area includes a private pool with sun loungers, a Jacuzzi, BBQ facilities, and a furnished seating area for outdoor dining or social gatherings.

The villa is on Genardi Beach. You can wander along the beach to local tavernas and beach bars or the town of Gennadi is 20 minute walk away. Rhodes is an island with more than its fair share of natural beauty and landmark sights. The unesco site of Lindos with its famed Acropolis is a short drive away is worth seeing. Down the coast, you also have resorts such as Ammoudes, Kolympia and, perhaps best-known, Faliraki. While its reputation may precede it, this is not the hedonism capital it once was. A children’s water-park and the beautiful Anthony Quinn Bay may tempt you there during the day, and an aquarium and scuba-diving school also embrace the aquatic theme.

The Lindos Acropolis is as spectacular as the coastal views it enjoys, and definitely worth seeing.

The town of Rhodes is as good a place to start as any, and lies on the northern tip of the island. A walk along the medieval walls of the Old Town will offer you some beautiful views, accessible from the must-see Palace of the Grand Masters. Part of a World Heritage Site, this is also the location of a fine museum which offers the chance to familiarise yourself with Rhodian history, extending as far back as the 3rd century BC.

Another museum worth checking out is the Museum of Modern Greek Art, with an eclectic collection only rivalled by Athens. The New Town area is visually appealing itself, with an Art Deco influence present in much of its architecture. Mandráki harbour is the home of Evangelismós Cathedral, where you can find some impressive frescoes.

At the very southern tip of the island, Prasonisi’s location – dividing the Aegean and the Mediterranean – is considered prime wind-surfing territory. But if that sounds a little too exhilarating, Rhodes’ more sedate attractions like the Valley of the Butterflies, numerous wineries and the seven springs of the wonderfully scenic Epta Piges nature reserve, will provide just as pleasant a day out.

Great place for a family vacation! Quietly, calmly, the sea is nearby, its solid swimming pool. Neighboring villas do not particularly interfere. Their proximity is probably the only drawback, but then you aren't aware of them. The sea is clean. Own parking for cars. Shops and an excellent bakery in a nearby village. Cra is essential, but it does not spoil the impression. There you can find decent taverna for lunch and dinner. A dish of fried octopus, potatoes and salad - 12 euros. Big pizza - 9 euros. The villa can accommodate three couples. Airport at 1 hour by car. To Rhodes Twon is also about 1 hour.
