    About this property

Looking out on the Ionian Sea, Villa Sparta has both the location and the element of luxury for a special break in the Peloponnese. Part of a five-star resort located in Costa Navarino, this beautiful beachside villa for two features its own private outdoor pool.

Immaculately styled and furnished, Villa Sparta has its own area of the Dunes Beach where you can enjoy the sun in total privacy. Next to the 48 sqm infinity pool, there is a covered terrace area with seating and dining facilities. You will also have full use of resort facilities and services, including priority tee times on the two golf courses, a 24-hour butler service and use of the helipad if required.

Inside, the décor is subtle and calming, with earth tones and splashes of blue. You have a spacious lounge and dining area with wooden floors, home cinema, Apple TV and two plasma screens, plus there is high-speed internet too. You can also request a games console such as PlayStation or Xbox.

The master bedroom with king-size bed balances elegance with supreme comfort, and offers direct access out to the pool area, as well as a stunning ocean view. The accompanying bathroom with centrepiece free-standing bathtub, vanity counter and tropical shower makes for a particularly glamorous en suite.

The resort as a whole offers all you could want for a relaxing stay, with excellent spa and fitness facilities. You can enjoy personally tailored treatments in the sanctuary of the Anazoe Spa, while the pair of 18-hole golf courses – in the most spectacular ocean-view setting – give players of all levels a good reason to get out on the green.

An array of bars and restaurants, serving up everything from American diner food to Italian and traditional Greek are also within easy reach. Should you wish to explore the region beyond the resort, Messini, the Palace of Nestor and Olympia are all possibilities.Costa Navarino combines a rich history with spectacular beaches and a chilled-out vibe. Largely free from mass tourism, it remains a pretty and enchanting place to discover, with the breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea alone making it worth doing so.

The unspoilt countryside makes it an area perfect for outdoor activity, and much is on offer to visitors. The Navarino Outdoor Academy organises cycling, hiking and Nordic walking tours, as well as indoor and outdoor climbing, with plenty of help and instruction available. There are also courts for a variety of racquet sports, while those who want to explore the mysteries of the deep have a Divers’ Club offering lessons in scuba and snorkelling.

Voidokilia Beach is a local treasure well worth seeking out, with its distinctive loop shape and sand dunes leading it to be called one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. Also nearby is the Gialova lagoon, one of Europe’s most important wetlands, which is the place any bird-lovers will want to head to.

There is plenty of historical interest in the region, with Ancient Messini dating back to 369 BC – go to check out its well-preserved fortification walls which extend for several miles. The Temple of Apollo at Bassae was ahead of even the Acropolis in being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of the country’s finest surviving examples of classical architecture, while the elaborate Palace of Nestor offers another fascinating insight into Mycenaean times.

Those who would prefer to explore the area’s natural beauty will not be disappointed either, with lakes, waterfalls, vineyards and olive groves adding to the richness of the Peloponnese landscape. The Villa
