Villa Honey is a peaceful coastal retreat located within a complex of five newly built properties just 400 metres from the sea in Tsoutsouras, on the southern coast of Crete. Surrounded by the natural colours and quiet beauty of the landscape, the villa offers a relaxed setting where the nearby Libyan Sea and open Cretan horizon create a calm and restorative atmosphere.
Spanning two floors, the villa seamlessly combines contemporary design with warm, natural elements. The ground floor features a bright, open-plan living space where the kitchen and lounge merge to form a comfortable area for relaxing and dining. A sofa bed, TV, and a fully equipped modern kitchen provide both convenience and flexibility, while a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower complete this level.
Upstairs, the main bedroom provides a tranquil space to unwind, with a queen-size bed and access to a private balcony. From here, guests can enjoy soft morning light, sea breezes, and quiet evenings overlooking the surrounding landscape. A second bathroom with a shower on this floor adds further comfort and privacy.
The villa is fully air-conditioned and fitted with mosquito nets, helping to ensure a comfortable stay throughout the year. Outside, the private swimming pool offers a refreshing place to relax, surrounded by sunbeds and loungers for enjoying the Cretan sunshine. A shaded barbecue and outdoor dining area create an inviting space for meals outdoors, while the landscaped patio, with its flowers and natural planting, enhances the villa’s peaceful, private feel.
Tsoutsouras is a small coastal village located on the southern side of Crete, along the Libyan Sea. The area is quieter than many of the island’s more developed tourist destinations, and it has retained a simple and relaxed character. The village is built along a long beach and is surrounded by natural landscapes, including hills and olive groves. Because of its southern location, Tsoutsouras generally enjoys warm weather and clear sea conditions for much of the year.
Historically, the area of Tsoutsouras was associated with the ancient port of Inatos, which served the nearby Minoan settlement of Priansos. Archaeological discoveries in the surrounding region indicate that the area played a role in trade and maritime activity during ancient times. While much of the ancient port remains beneath the sea or scattered across the nearby land, the historical presence contributes to the cultural background of the area.
Today, Tsoutsouras is a small settlement with a limited number of tavernas, cafés, and accommodations. Visitors typically come to the area for its beach, quiet atmosphere, and access to the surrounding natural environment. The nearby Asterousia mountain range provides opportunities for exploring the landscape, while the coastline offers swimming and views across the Libyan Sea. The village remains relatively low-key and is often chosen by travellers who prefer a calmer setting.
