About this property

You’ve got the best of all possible worlds when you vacation in Villa Cayenne, snuggled in the suburbs, yet within walking distance from the nearest beach, in a lively resort town, and not far from the ancient city of Heraklion. Villa Cayenne is perfectly positioned in this prime location on the north coast of the Greek island of Crete, the jewel of the Aegean Sea. This stunning architect-designed villa has two double bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to four guests, ideal for a small family, or a couple of couples sharing.

The villa is built out of classic Mediterranean whitewashed walls, on one raised storey, that is surrounded by a tiled terrace with a private swimming pool, lush green lawns, and ancient olive groves. The property has private parking and comes complete with complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout. Villa Cayenne is cool and contemporary, furnished with modern pieces, some funky artwork, and decorated in a neutral palette of delicate earth tones, highlighted with colourful scenes from nature.

Access the raised villa via the stone steps, where you will discover a light and airy luxury holiday home with a laid back easy sense of style. The seating area has a long silver-grey sofa, (which can be converted to a sofa bed), and a contrasting sandy beige armchair, with wooden coffee tables, facing a flat-screen television, and double doors that lead out onto the pool terrace. The white and grey kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you will need to cater for your holiday, including a family-size fridge-freezer, a built-in oven and hob, and an informal four-seater dining set, with access to the outdoor space. The master bedroom has a huge double bed, with a unique headboard, half-arched smart grey upholstery, half-yellow butterfly and parrot fabric, with matching lampshades. There is a floating wardrobe, a flat-screen television, and doors that open onto a private furnished terrace. The ensuite bathroom in brown and white marble has a walk-in shower, a divided wash basin, and a WC area. The second bedroom also has a double bed, with blue butterfly and parrot soft fabrics, a flat-screen television, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors with views of the olive grove gardens. The ensuite grey marble bathroom runs the length of the bedroom, with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC.

The outstanding exterior of the villa is one where we think you will be spending most of your time, relaxing in the natural surroundings of the original olive groves with mature trees and a manicured lush green lawn. Access the glass surround terrace and gardens from all the living spaces, where you will find a step-entry freshwater swimming pool. The decked pool area is home to four cream cushioned sun loungers, fat beige bean bags, and an exterior cooling down shower. A soft seating area under the veranda is ideal for meeting for morning coffee and sundowners at sun set. The Jacuzzi bath is positioned behind the house for some privacy and has its own soft seating and dining area, and an outdoor kitchen where you can prepare an alfresco feast of local Greek delicacies.
