About this property

Live a life of luxury when you vacation in the sleek Villa Aspro, on the west coast of the Greek island of Crete. This incredible ultra-modern villa has four spacious double bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests in some style. The detached, three-storey villa is set in two thousand square metres of grounds, that is home to lush green lawns, a sea view terrace, and your own private infinity swimming pool. Villa Aspro commands sweeping sea views over the fabulous Falasarna Bay, regularly voted one of the top ten beaches in Europe, and within walking distance of your holiday home.

This architect-designed property is constructed out of local stone, which is used throughout the villa, glass-fronted terraces and balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows, to maximise those magnificent views. The villa comes complete with secure parking, and complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout. The interiors are stunning, the attention to detail is meticulous, the furnishings are cool and contemporary, and the décor is a soothing colour palette of crisp, clean whites, seamlessly blended with muted shades of grey and beige.

Enter the villa at ground floor level, where you will find an open plan, lavish sea view living space. The seating area has two soft grey designer sofas, two modern chairs, and a coffee table, facing a flat-screen satellite television. The six-seater dining set is ideal for some impressive indoor entertaining. The adjacent pale wood and white kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you will need to cater for your holiday, including a family-size fridge freezer with a water dispenser. Very thoughtfully on this level is a suite, specially designed for those with mobility needs. The bedroom has a convertible double bed, smart TV, and a sea view picture window, with a specially equipped en-suite bathroom, with a low-level WC and open shower.

Take the stairs to the upper floor, where there are two double bedrooms, with en-suite shower rooms, and sea-view balconies. One room has a convertible king-size bed, the other has a queen-size bed and smart TV. On the lower level, there is a second large living area, with sofa seating, a smart TV, a PlayStation5 console, and board games. There is a fully-equipped kitchen to rustle up some supper whilst watching your favourite films. The fourth bedroom has a queen size bed, while there is a separate family shower room on the same level.

Step out onto the expansive sea view tiled terrace, which is home to a superb centrepiece, ladder entry, and infinity swimming pool, fitted with a specially designed mobility lift. The pool is surrounded by state-of-the-art deep, cushioned sun loungers, and coconut-matting parasols for shade. A soft seating area is snuggled under a veranda, perfectly positioned to gaze out to sea. Sunbathe on the well-manicured lawn, and enjoy a game of ping pong, before cooling down under the refreshing outdoor shower. As dusk falls, gather on the terrace for cocktails and watch the famous fire-red sunsets. Take a seat at the eight-seater dining set, and feast alfresco under the twinkling stars, with dishes freshly grilled from the barbecue.

Villa Aspro is perfectly positioned overlooking the much acclaimed Falasarna beach, on the west coast of the Greek island of Crete, in the azure waters of the Aegean Sea. The villa is a scenic sixty-eight kilometres drive from Chania International Airport, and fifty-seven from the port of Souda if you are island hopping. The stunning Falasarna sandy beaches are just eight hundred metres from the villa, a steep walk downhill to turquoise blue seas, famous for its water sports, including jet skiing, windsurfing, paragliding, and fishing. For those who prefer a more relaxing day, the west-facing beach delivers the most breathtakingly beautiful sky on fire sunsets.

The west coast is home to some of Crete’s best beaches, go north to scuba dive in Kissamos and Balos, and go south to Sfinari, and the must-see pink sands of Elafonisi. The village of Falasarna has a minimarket for your holiday supplies, and a handful of cafes, bars, and tavernas to sample the local fare. The history of the area can be found at the Hellenistic fort and the ancient inland harbour.  Go to Chania, and stroll the narrow streets of the old town, walk down to the Venetian harbour, and view the sixteenth-century lighthouse. Visit the Nautical and Archaeological Museums, then meander around the Municipal Gardens, before enjoying a delicious dinner of freshly caught fish at a waterfront restaurant. See the port of Souda, home to the archaeological site of ancient Aptera, and an Ottoman fort. Explore the three hundred caves the island hides, hike over hillsides, streams, and rocky ravines to discover watermills and ruins, and stop along the way at a local winery to taste the fruits of the many vineyards.

All aboard a boat trip, where you can swim and snorkel, or scuba dive underwater ruins, before sunbathing on deck. Spend the day in the port town of Heraklion. Visit the ancient Palace of Knossos, and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, walk along the Venetian walls, and stroll through the old quarter, where you can shop for souvenirs. Go further afield to Vai, Crete’s easternmost tip, where you will find lush forests and a unique date palm. Explore Psychro Cave, reputedly the birthplace of Zeus, and rock climb Mount Ida to find the Ideon Cave. Sitia Geopark is three hundred and fifty square kilometres of the island’s diverse ecosystem, where you can trek through gorges, bathe on beaches, walk the wetlands, and bird-watch.

Hike the Richtis Gorge, stroll through streams to reach the twenty-metre waterfall, and then can cool off in the inviting pool. Find solace in the fifteenth-century Toplou Monastery, and admire its beautiful Byzantine icons. From the exclusive town of Elounda take a boat tour to the intriguing island of Spinalonga, once a former leper colony with a Venetian fortress, and now an open-air museum. Go to the harbour town of Agios Nikolaos, which uniquely houses a lake in its centre, with an Archaeological Museum full of Minoan treasures, and lots of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants in which to sit, and watch the local life go by.
