There are plenty of places to settle in with a book, share drinks or simply admire the scenery. Four gorgeous double bedrooms each benefit from an en suite bath or shower, offering welcome privacy at the end of an active day.

Outside, the heated swimming pool provides an irresistible place to linger when the sun is shining. The large terrace above is positioned to embrace those wonderful lake views, setting the scene for leisurely breakfasts, al fresco lunches and relaxed evenings as the light changes across the distant water. Back inside, a hammam adds another dimension to your stay, whether you prefer a restorative steam or a workout before the day begins. The villa also offers a private double garage and electric vehicle charging point.

Maison Azurine sits above Veyrier du Lac, with the village just over 1km below and the shores of Lake Annecy and Plage de la Brune around 1.5km away. Spend summer days swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking or sailing, or take to the surrounding walking, hiking and cycling routes. Keen cyclists can follow a route towards the romantic town of Annecy, around 6.5km away, where canals, cobbled streets and colourful historic buildings await.

Menthon Saint Bernard and Talloires offer further opportunities for lakeside exploring, while the Réserve Naturelle du Roc de Chère rewards walkers with beautiful forest scenery. Whether returning from a morning cycle or an afternoon beside the water, Maison Azurine offers a stylish place to reconnect, recharge and savour Lake Annecy from above.

Overlooking the eastern shores of Lake Annecy, Maison Azurine enjoys a glorious setting near the village of Veyrier-du-Lac. The villa itself is perched high above the village, with hiking and cycling routes nearby. 

Veyrier-du-Lac itself is just over 1km away by car, bike or on foot (uphill on the way back) whilst the lake’s shores and iconic Plage de la Brune (1.5km) are just a little further alongside tennis courts, the marina and the lakeside restaurants. In the height of the summer (July and August), Plage de la Brune offers supervised swimming and snack bars. At any time of year it is a beautiful spot beside the lake.  

Follow the lakeside south to Menthon-Saint-Bernard (3km), home to a variety of useful amenities including a small supermarket, whilst the forested landscapes of the Réserve Naturelle du Roc de Chère stretch between here and Talloires. Established in 1977, this protected 68-hectare reserve is home to varied flora and fauna and provides a wonderfully scenic setting for walks. Golfers can meanwhile head to Golf du Lac d'Annecy (5km), whilst the pretty village of Talloires (6km) occupies an idyllic position beside the lake with mountain views as your backdrop. 

Lake Annecy itself is the natural focus for summer days. Its shores are dotted with beaches, while the water offers everything from paddleboarding and kayaking to sailing, waterskiing and pedal boats. Boat cruises are another memorable way to experience the lake, revealing magnificent panoramas of the surrounding mountains from the water. 

It’s worth knowing that some Lake Annecy beaches charge entry in the summer months. Please also note that many local amenities and activities only operate seasonally, so do check ahead if travelling outside high season. 

The area is equally rewarding on two wheels. The Voie Verte du lac d’Annecy and connecting cycle routes make cycling one of the finest ways to appreciate the scenery, with an approximately 40km circuit leading around the lake. Most of the loop follows dedicated cycling infrastructure (along the eastern shore the route follows the road alongside local traffic). 

For a change of pace, enchanting Annecy town (6.5km) awaits at the northern end of the lake. Its medieval old town is a delight to explore, with cobbled lanes, colourful historic buildings and picturesque canals creating the romantic atmosphere that has earned Annecy its reputation as the ‘Venice of the Alps’.
