About this property

Featured in The Times '50 Best Villas in the Med' 2017

A lovely villa with large pool, sea views, secluded gardens and only a 4-minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach and restaurants…and all just 20 minutes from St Tropez.

Gigaro Beach House is a rare and very special find in the Côte d’Azur. Not surprisingly, many guests return year after year, so booking early is highly recommended!

From the moment you pass through the imposing iron gates, this little corner of paradise, with its roman style private pool, long wooden balconies and glimpses of the blue sea will raise your spirits and enfold you in its spell. Almost everything in this comfortable and stylish villa is dressed in natural materials; burgundy stone, marble, fine timber, handmade brick and wrought iron.

Gigaro beach, one of the most beautiful in the South of France is just a 4-minute walk away: you can enjoy an early morning swim in the sea and buy fresh croissants for breakfast as you walk back home to your beautiful villa.

There is a supermarket for all basic needs and several restaurants within easy walking distance, with choices from ‘feet in the sand’ to more sophisticated. Just five minutes drive away at La Croix Valmer, you’ll also find butchers, bakers, seafood and more. A back road reaches St Tropez in just 20 minutes, but the intrepid may walk there on the scenic route along the coastal paths.

The owners know that this most desirable area has so much to offer and so they enjoy sharing information with their guests about local attractions: superb wine domains, concerts in ancient chapels or chateaux, jazz and dancing in the amphitheatre in La Croix Valmer, nightlife in St Tropez, sailing and other nautical sports, golf, riding,  polo and much more nearby.

But with this very special villa you have the option to put the car keys away and stroll to the lovely beaches, woods and restaurants.

Your very own little paradise…

Gigaro beach, one of the most beautiful in the South of France is just a 4-minute walk away and it is fringed by the preserved forests of Cap Lardier national park, for walking and bicycling on paths of amazing beauty with views of the clear, blue Mediterranean Sea.

The main L-shaped living area (60 sqm), which is entered from the rear stone flagged terrace with fountain, has a fine fireplace, sofas, extensive library, TV, DVDs and Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard, with American fridge and marble worktops. The kitchen and living room have three French windows opening out into the covered terrace with dining for 10 guests. There is an area beyond that with a boules pitch.

Double doors lead off the living room to two bedrooms (one super king 4 poster and one double canopy bed). Both have en-suite bathrooms and French windows opening onto a broad wooden verandah with sea view. One of these bathrooms has a recessed, arched entrance with a lined, silk curtain. The other has double panelled doors for entry.

From the library, a fine chestnut staircase leads to the lower level with two bedrooms (both king size beds which can also be made up into two single beds). One bedroom has an alcove bathroom shielded by lined Toile De Jouy curtains and the other has an in-room wide glass fronted marble shower and facilities, with white waffle lined curtains for privacy. Fine sea views can be enjoyed from both bath and shower. Both bedrooms are very light and with sea views.

The lower bedrooms have a narrow lockable communicating door and each has its own separate access. One also has two french windows.
The lower floor opens onto terrace overlooking pool.

Two bedrooms have cupboard space (one a full-size hanging and a full size shelving cupboard, the other a double mirrored wardrobe). The other bedrooms have hanging facilities and a chest of drawers.

We had the best time ever and we would love to take it again next year....... my most favourite place in the world (big statement, but it makes me very happy).

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Gigaro Beach House. The location is superb: the accessibility to the sea and the coastal path, the convenience of the shop/bar/restaurants in the immediate vicinity, combined with the very private feel of the property itself, and the easy access to the facilities of La Croix-Valmer, Cavalaire and of course St Tropez. But these things you know! Steve and Zoe were charming, informative, and very welcoming, and made it clear they were available to help with any problems. The house was beautifully presented, the gardens lovely and we felt very lucky but also very much at home.

We had such a wonderful time at your beautiful house! what we particularly liked was that it was obviously a home as opposed to a holiday rental. We appreciated the fact that there were all the things you need in the kitchen, that there were plenty of sun lounger cushions, and mosquito repellent and the supply of hats! They were all really thoughtful touches that made a difference. The layout of the house and the landscaping around are just perfect. And an amazing location of course. Steve and Zoe were very welcoming and responsive whenever we asked anything of them. That included the pool going green, or wanting to arrange a private chef, or find a local tennis court. It was pretty much the perfect holiday!
