A fully equipped kitchen invites long, sociable meals both indoors and out, while five gorgeous double bedrooms, including a grand master suite with an incredible ocean vista, ensure comfort for up to 10 guests (plus 5 children). Younger visitors will adore the sixth bedroom, a dedicated dorm-style bunk-bed room that adds a playful touch, whilst a games lounge offers space to unwind.

A spa area with indoor jacuzzi, sauna and a hammam shower creates a restorative retreat, with doors opening to the heated outdoor swimming pool that invites leisurely afternoons together. Located in Brétignolles-sur-Mer on the Vendée coast, the setting combines wonderful beaches, dunes and scenic coastal paths with easy access to lively seaside towns such as Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Les Sables-d’Olonne. The area is known for its water sports, local markets and relaxed coastal atmosphere, all within a preserved natural environment. The beach in front of the villa is just steps away, a vast expanse of sand and rocks in low tide, especially popular in the summer months.

Perched above the beachfront in the charming Vendée seaside resort of Brétignolles-sur-Mer, Villa La Corniche offers an exceptional coastal setting where the rhythm of the ocean defines each day.

With sweeping sea views and direct access to the edge of the beach below (via public stairs to the side of the villa), this is a place to savour golden sunsets and the soothing sounds and scents of the Atlantic coastline. The long beach itself is sandy and wide at low tide with rocky parts, as well as a small handful of beachside restaurants (open seasonally) – it’s an especially popular beach in the summer months and can be lively. Do note that at high tide, part or sometimes all of the beach is submerged – a wonderful experience from your very own ocean-facing terrace.

There are other seasonal amenities dotted in the neighbourhood close to the villa, around 450m on foot, or you can wander to the centre of Brétignolles-sur-Mer (1.8km) in around 25 minutes (or via a leisurely cycle ride). Browse the vibrant local market held on Thursdays and Sundays, sample regional produce or hire bikes to explore the network of scenic coastal paths winding through dunes and marshland (concierge can help with bike hire as well as horse-riding and boat trips). There is a handy Vival grocery store 700m away as well as a larger supermarket in central Brétignolles-sur-Mer. 

A short drive brings you to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (10km), a lively fishing port famed for its sardines and bustling marina. Wander along the harbour, dine in traditional seafood restaurants, or simply enjoy the maritime charm. Slightly further afield, Les Sables-d’Olonne (19km) offers long sandy beaches, elegant promenades and a rich cultural scene, making it perfect for a day out by the sea.

Nature lovers will appreciate the nearby Marais salants de l’île d’Olonne, where salt marshes create a unique landscape rich in birdlife and local heritage. For a memorable excursion, head to Noirmoutier-en-l’Île (around an hour by car), an island renowned for its picturesque villages, coves and the famous Passage du Gois.

For a change of pace, the vibrant city of Nantes (90km) offers striking architecture, cultural landmarks and excellent dining. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or exploration, this stretch of the Vendée coast provides a wonderfully diverse setting.
