In an idyllic beachfront position, Villa Occitane in Languedoc, southern France, sleeps up to eight guests in four en-suite bedrooms. There is a nanny en-suite double bedroom in the basement, which many of our guests favour as a perfect fifth bedroom for the teenagers!

Surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens, the villa’s terraces and outdoor infinity pool make for the perfect spot to unwind. With comfortable loungers to soak up the sun and a Webber BBQ to prepare a delicious alfresco lunch or dinner on the terrace. The magnificent entrance will be sure to create the ‘wow’ factor as you step into the incredibly light and spacious villa.

Continue into the open plan living areas, perfect for entertaining and unwinding and equipped with plasma television, DVD library and sound system in the lounge. The modern open plan kitchen area is fully equipped with utensils and all the latest appliances. All bedrooms are suitable for double or twin occupancy and are equipped with plasma televisions, DVD iPod players and docking stations.

There are numerous places to visit and activities to enjoy close to the villa for a day out. Wellness centres, tennis, golf, go-karting, water parks, activity parks, chateau wine tours - to name a few!

The fishing town of Sète, recently acclaimed by the Telegraph as "The Perfect Break", is just on the doorstep with its numerous fish restaurants and canals. Montpellier, with its historic old town, trendy boutiques and restaurants, is just half an hour away by car, and the historic towns of Béziers and Pézenas are within easy reach.

Le Cap d’Agde Golf International Centre includes both 18-hole and 9-hole courses, a driving range, putting green, chipping green and a practice bunker. The golf courses offer undulating greens and well located water hazards and bunkers. There is an on-site restaurant and pro-shop and you can also hire golf clubs and buggies.

La Forêt d’Acrobates high-ropes facility is only 20 minutes away and consists of five courses set in a beautiful forest, providing 2-3 hours of fun for the whole family. Courses include: ‘Panoramique’ for great views of the region and the longest zip-wire in the Languedoc – 150m long, 20m above the forest floor! The site also offers other activities such as archery, canyoning, canoeing and kayaking, climbing and caving.

There is an international tennis centre in Cap d’Agde, which has 32 tennis courts, 2 squash courts, and 2 badminton courts – as well as a gym and a swimming pool. It is open every day from 8.30am – 8pm and you can simply hire a court or take part in courses or private lessons (though courts must be hired 24 hours in advance). Racquet hire is available.

Sète Equitation Passion riding centre offers riding lessons all year round. Réserve Africaine de Sigean, located between Narbonne and Perpignan (direction Barcelona on the A9), this extremely popular reserve is open every day of the year between 9am and 6.30pm. Animals to watch out for in the drive through area include elephants, giraffe, gibbons, lions, black bears, rhino and many more. While the on-foot section hosts African antelopes, chimpanzees, elephants, reptiles, turtles, tortoises, alligators, snakes, and other creepy crawlies. The reserve is located just south of Narbonne, approximately an hour’s drive from the villa. This is one villa that's perfect for active families - you'll never run out of things to do!
